'Dexter': Exclusive clip from this Sunday's episode, 'Take It'!

Where, oh, where, will that mysterious picture of five teenage boys lead Dexter and Lumen? This week, it takes them into the world of… motivational speakers. Dex and Lumen are hot on the trail of killer Cole, who serves as head of security for self-help guru Jordan Chase, who’s no angel himself. In this clip from Sunday’s episode of Dexter, “Take It,” which was made exclusive to EW.com, Dexter attends a seminar hosted by the charismatic Jordan, who declares to his audience, “If you’re not in touch with your primal self, you’re already dead!” (Which would make Dexter very much alive.) We also learn a few details about Cole from Lumen — let’s just say his stint in the Marines didn’t end well. Are you taken in by the Jordan Chase story line? What do you predict will happen this week? Are we about to witness a Cole-blooded murder?

Ohhhh! Can’t wait to see what the common bond is unless they were all foster children and somehow came together or in a juvenile facility.

  • Piper

So this is what happened to poor Eli Stone. He promises change but also takes credit cards. LOL

  • Jules

Nice clip… I am finally getting the chemistry between Dex & Lumen. It’s nice to see Dexter have a true [and literal] partner in crime (we all need one).

As for the connection.. I am thinking the killer 5 are summer camp buddies or they met in juvie.

  • Royal

I think that they all met at a ‘special’ camp.

    • P.

      Rude comment.

  • amy

I am not on board with is Lumen yet. Not sure what it is about her I don’t like. Can’t believe I am saying this…but I actually miss Rita. Yikes!!!

    • suz

amy, go watch no ordinary family, rita is alive and a PIA there

  • Davecat

I assume we’re supposed to imagine a possible (perfect) future for Dex/Lum. I trust they have an interesting path to take this story down. I look forward to what’s in store.

Who is the 5th teenager in the picture? We have dentist, Boyd Walker, Jordan, Cole and ?

Is #5 the big guy on the left in the photo?

    I like Lumen.

  • jj

Is anyone else nervous about the nanny? She is getting too attached to Harrison, and she doesn’t really have a life.

Is the 5th rapist someone we’ve already seen?

    • Constance

      I hope shes not a baby-naper!

    • poppy

I think she’s an undercover police officer.

      • Tom

I doubt it, don’t think she would of quit in the first place if that was true.

    • Meghan

I like the theory that she’s somehow related to Lila.

      • j

ooooh, i hadn’t thought of that! that would be interesting…

  • Thomas

My prediction: all five teens went to the same church. The same Catholic church.

    • Jules

      ;o)

    • JayNYC

Well, they don’t teach you to rape *girls* there, so I’m not sure.

    • DUDE

This Thomas guy is very original, and absolutely hilarious.

  • JJ

How was this made exclusive to EW? Dexter’s official FB page posted this earlier in the week. You had an exclusive extra 10 seconds.

On a side note, LOVE this show. It’s still weird watching it without Rita, but I’m starting to like the direction they took it in.

  • MIB

    Can’t wait !

  • camille

i’m loving lumen, last week was a breather. when she took baby harisson and played with him…..an awwww moment. it’s good to see she’s capable of happiness

    • Lore

Don’t know what you were watching but she didn’t “play” with him – she just lifted him up above her head.

  • Art

Wasn’t so sure about this season in the beginning, but it is shaping up to be really, really good! I like Lumen, and you know Eli Stone is masterminding our something nefarious!

  • JMaG`

This season is really starting to hit it’s stride, I can’t wait to see where it goes from here…Possible love connection for her and Dex..??

    • Lore

Thank goodness it’s moved up a notch from excruciating boredom.

  • pattycupcake

i think julia stiles is magnificent in this role. i’m so impressed. i love her character and what she does with her. i am afraid lumen will get her closure and go home in the end, but i hope she stays. i think she and dexter have great chemistry and i’d be happy seeing her on this show forever. i think this character adds something that was missing from the show.

also, i like the motivational speaker plot.

i think all the subplots this season are almost embarrassingly bad, though. not written well, not interesting.

but i do agree with the poster who is worried about the nanny. i think she’s definitely a type who may run off with the child. she is gonna be trouble…

    • Jed

Stiles magnificent? You must be nuts – she’s boring, unskilled, and one-dimensional with a monotone voice and a face like a frying pan.
