Gee, I miss Murder One. But if I can’t have the old legal drama back, then it looks like General Hospital is the place to go to get a Daniel Benzali fix these days. The ABC sudser lassoed the veteran actor for a generous story arc that will stretch well into 2011. EW obtained this exclusive peek at Benzali’s first day on the set, which will air Monday, Dec. 6. Benzali will play Theo, a hypochondriac patient who befriends Dr. Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) in her time of need. Also pictured is Scott Reeves as Dr. Steven Webber and Jason Thompson as Dr. Patrick Drake.
Benzali has most recently appeared in Nip/Tuck, Lie to Me, and Eli Stone and has a role in the upcoming rom-com How Do You Know.

Thank you, thank you for mentioning “Murder One”! I’ve been trying to remember that show for a long time now…it was a GREAT piece of television! DB was mesmerizing then and I can only surmise that he’s gotten better with age! Good for GH!

My power went out durring the season finale and I had to beg coworkers to lend me thier copies without telling me who killed Jessica Costello. Man, Murder One was great!
Hate to inform you Barbe but there is no fatal attraction part of the story, the headwriter of GH, Robert Guza, has decided to extend the contract of Briana Brown, who plays Lisa. Therefore, do not look for Lisa to die or go to jail for her crimes. GH is about to whitewash the character to keep her around.

First Shirley “helping” Elizabeth and now this guy? This whole Lisa debacle is just sickening and I’m upset she’ll be around for another 12 months.
I hate Lisa. Unless she gets amnesia and forgets who she was like Jason Morgan, i doubt they can ever redeem her in my eyes. I hate characters who are just plain old mean.
I’d love to see him run over that stuttering dope Sonny with his wheelchair.
LOL!!!! Maybe he can run over not only Sonny, Lisa, that stupid lawyer woman who keeps “compromising” her career…yecch! And why, oh why are they wasting Brenda on not only this ridiculous and boring story line but back with Sonny – puh-leez..

why wouldn’t Robin be around? She is part of a core family in PC, a legacy character, AND been on the show for YEARS

Yeah I seen it on Scrub board that tiic are going to whitewash this witch. So they can keep the actress it makes me want to vomit.IMO they can drip her @ss in gold.But it still ain’t going to help this character or actress be likeable or redeemable. She’s done too much to Robin.Plus she boring and annoying has hell.Even if they put into another s/l .And away from Scrubs. I would still FF her.
I think Daniel Benzali is going to turn out to be The Balkan; he is the right age to be alexander’s father. I see robin and Lisa becoming the 21st century Monica & Leslie

That can’t be a picture from GH: it’s actually set in a hospital. Of course, in the scene after this, there will be gunfire for the 4,000 time this year and Jason will save the day.
so funny and so true – guns galore should be the new name of this show. And yet I keep watching and waiting for the day when they’ll can all these ridiculously boring mob stories.
Thanks for covering General Hospital. It seems like the soaps are being forgotten by the media these days, but there are still many soap fans out there. It is great that they get attention when they bring in talent from primetime and movies, but there are many talented actors working hard on these shows everyday. Please keep reporting on the soaps.

GH is AWFUL! And its really sad to see decent actors on this lousy sudser. I look forward to this over-hyped soap to be cancelled.
I haven’t watched GH in years, and even though I’m a fan of Daniel Benzali, I still won’t watch. Daniel always played a character that “you love to hate”. He’s so sarcastic and charismatic at the same time. I enjoyed him on Murder One and NYPD Blue’s early years. I wonder why he wasn’t cast as a regular on Law and Order, or L&O: SVU.
