The beloved Canadian time-travel drama Being Erica returns to SOAPnet for its third season U.S. premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 11 p.m., EW has learned exclusively. The series — which follows 30-something Erica Strange as she travels back in time to relive past regrets — will return for 13 episodes this winter, with the season premiere revealing what was behind the door her time-travel-inducing therapist, Dr. Tom (Michael Riley), instructed her to pick in the second season-finale cliffhanger. The season will include the consequences of that choice, as well as Erica’s foray into starting her own publishing business and her newly single life after breaking up with Ethan (Tyron Leitso).

YAY!!! Can’t wait for the new season. Now if the final season of Greek would air, I’d be a happy woman!
It’s shows like this that are why that network is ending, leaving “OC” fans to suffer.
Oh please. Cue the world’s tiniest violin. You’re wrong: Being Erica is a gem of a show. Watch the OC DVDs if you need a fix.
I thought the SOAPNet was going away and being turned into some Disney branded channel after January 1?
I think that is supposed to happen halfway through 2011. As long as it’s after BE’s run, I’m happy.
I’m so excited!! This is my favorite show! I hope more people start watching – if you loved Quantum Leap you will love this show too!
I thought SOAPnet was dying soon? How is it going to air on that network? Oh well. I’ve been crafty and been watching it online every week. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this season after the premiere but I’m really enjoying it. Hope you all do too!
SoapNet doesn’t go off the air until January 2012 so, Being Erica is safe on that channel for it’s third season.
AFAIK, Soapnet goes off the air Jan. 1, 2011, not 2010. So we get at least one more year of Soapnet before YET ANOTHER kids’ channel clogs up the airwaves.
Strike that: It goes off Jan. 1, 2012, not 2011. Sorry, my poor brain forgot what year we were in!
Yeah, 2011 is a month and a half away.
Soapnet will be on the air through 2011.
Honestly, Canadian shows like Being Erica, Flashpoint and The Tudors are a thousand times more entertaining than most anything else on these days. Those shows are certainly among the Top 6 I watch each week!
Tudors is a Showtime cable tv show.
@ Rene but it’s a Irish/Canadian production so Sam is sorta right. It’s a Canadian show.
I am giddy, I tell ya. Giddy!
I thought the same thing..wait isn’t Soapnet off the air in January? Then I went onto NYTimes (May 26, 2010) and it said
“Disney, which is trying to secure long-term advertising commitments for SoapNet, emphasized that the channel would not go dark for 18 months or so. The company is in the final stages of obtaining approval for the new format from cable affiliates that carry SoapNet” Being Erica still would be shown and classic 90210 too.
“Being Erica” is beyond fantastic this season. After the first and second seasons I thought how are they going to keep the time-traveling aspect going, but the way it’s played out this season is really interesting. The acting is always on point. It’s such a great show that I got a virus by clicking on a bad link..oops (obviously i dont live in Canada, so i snoop around online – don’t worry i’ll gladly re-watch the season on SoapNet)
I am so glad that Canadians actually get something before the US! This latest season is slow to start but gets better each week, happy viewing!
