'Chase' order cut from 22 to 18 episodes

chaseImage Credit: Vivian Zink/NBCNBC has scaled back its full-season order on the U.S. Marshal drama Chase from 22 to 18 episodes, EW has confirmed. An insider stressed that the reduction does not mean the drama has been canceled, though the series isn’t exactly raking in the big audiences: The freshman show has only posted a 1.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.5 million viewers. (Each 18-49 point represents 1.3 million people). It is still considered a full-season order for Chase, which will move to Wednesdays beginning Jan. 12.

The drama stars Kelli Giddish, Cole Hauser and Jesse Metcalfe and is from Warner Bros. TV.

I like this show, but it is on against two other shows that I also like. I can only tape one and watch another. Eventually I watch Chase on my cable’s on demand feature. Why do all the networks schedule their best shows on the same night and time?

I have gotten hooked on “Chase”. This is one of my favorite new series this season. I like all the U.S. Marshals on the show.

  • Lorie

I’m gonna hope this isn’t a bad sign b/c I really like Chase.

  • Tina

I hope it doesn’t get canceled, I really love this show

  • Janeen

I really like this show! It is one of the few shows my husband and I like to watch together. We have the DVR set to record every week.

I love “Annie” and always catch the show on Hulu the next day. I hope they don’t cancel it because it’s good entertainment.

Jesse Matcalfe is heading back to obscurity, he’s typecast as a teen, but over 30. Too many can’t think of him as any other role.

My wife got me to watch this show a few weeks ago. Cole Hauser really bugs me. He should’ve stopped with School Ties and Dazed and Confused. He’s been worthless and uninteresting since. As far as the show goes, the subplots are beyond cliche, and the show as a whole just doesn’t feel smart. That’s why nobody watches it.

  • Ames

Chase is my guilty pleasure. Certainly not the smartest show, but it’s satisfying. Chase bad guys, arrest bad guys. simple.

I wasn’t going to watch Chase because I really like In Plain Sight and it seems a rip off of that, but I did start it and it’s pretty good, just has a lousy time slot. I always record it, but hope it sticks around for a while.

TOO BAD. I WISH THEY COULDL MOVE IT TO A BETTER TIME SLOT INSTEAD OF OPPOSITE HAWAII-50. ANYTHING SHOW UP AGAINST HAWAII IS GOING TO DIE. GIVE THIS SHOW A CHANCE IN A DECENT SLOT AND IT WILL SURVIVE.

Can’t you read? They’re moving the show to wednesday! Hopefully it’ll have more success then.

  • Jim Ross

I really think the show is well written and acted. It is up against some tough competition on Monday nights. With all the “crap” that is on TV right now you would think there would be room for this quality show.

  • stu

they should chase this show off the air.

  • Laxer

Jesse Metcalfe is a large part of why I watch this show…

Knowing my luck this show will be canceled. Seems to never fail. As soon as I start getting interested in a show it gets the ax! I’m ready for it to move to Wed. Cause I always have to wait couple of days & watch it on demand. My 2 shows I DVR is Hawaii 50 & Mon. Night Football. I like chase but football is my numero uno show & just can’t pick it over book em danno. So hurry up & move Anny to Wed. Only stuff I watch on Wed. Is Criminal Minds. Wander what there doing with Law & Order L.A. & Special Victims? Are they also being moved?
