Image Credit: Rick Rowell/ABCJames Franco will return to General Hospital this February, appearing in two episodes of the ABC daytime soap while he’s in Los Angeles to host the Academy Awards. A representative for the show confirms a TV Guide report that Franco, who guested as a serial killer (named Franco) last July, will make two more appearances, beginning the Friday before the Oscars.

After I saw James on ‘ Live with Regis and Kelly’ and how he explain his reason for being on a soap … I like him more. I am happy is back on GH!
What IS his reason for appearing on a soap opera?
He said on ‘Live with Regis and Kelly’ that he did a paper for class about the differnce people have of what a super star and a soap star is. They don’t expect for a soap actor to be any good and he also felt that even he thought ‘ do I have to ‘act’ like a soap actor’ does he have to change his way of acting? Kelly said ‘ oh to be a soap actor you have to take your shirt off ‘ and he laugh and said ‘ hhmm I … I did kind of. Those actors put me to shame’ and laugh. He also said that there is a type of enteraintment for everybody and soaps are for an enteraintment and movies are a different type. That a soap is more about talking because it is cheaper then a movie where it will be in 3D or car chases and so on.
Anyway that is the reason he gave.
Then he’s changed his story because he is NOT popular with the GH actors who call him a d-bag. I used to like his acting before he appeared and was way over the top on GH. Now it’s ruined all his performances for me.
Is it too much to ask for a coherent interpretation of ~~July~~’s illiterate rambling?

I only saw him when they made fun of him on The Soup and The Dish. Didn’t his character die in a suicide jump?
You must not watch soap operas. The first death never takes. Characters need to die about five or six times to make it offical.
Heck, on Days of Our Lives, they donated a dead guy’s organs…yet a few years later he came back!

Once you see the actor that play the character in another soap .. then that might be a clue he/she really did on the other soap. ;o)
No he was still alive & well after the jump. He kidnapped someone’s baby and then plotted to work with Brenda Barret. The last we saw of him he was on a plane and wanted a meeting with the very hot Brenda/Vanessa Marcil.
To clarify, he wasn’t the one who jumped he paid a dying man to jump and pretend he was Franco.
James, what are you smoking? If you’re gonna do a soap opera, at least do a good one like DAYS OF OUR LIVES. general hospital is stupid, boring crap.
GH is the BEST soap out there! Don’t know how some people watch that crap on other soaps. Is your soap the one with the lady talking to herself in a coffin? Anyways GH is FAB that’s why so many great actors CHOOSE GH!

How is it possible to turn Lucky into a whining victim brought to ruin by the big bad Liz? Lucas “Lucky” Spencer a victim? This boy traveled by himself when he was 12 to PC to find his Aunt Ruby cuz his parents left a warning on their answering machine. He was mature enough as a teen to have his own place, still go to school, work and help Liz though her crisis and somehow GH writers make him a whiny victim! Where are the frakin Quatermaines? WHERE IS ALEXIS!!!!!!!!!! How is it possible Mac gets sexier with age? Is Lucky’s new girl gonna lose her accent like Mac’s? Kill of Dante or Olivia. Heck kill off both.

Oh is that the one with the poduct placement? LOL I saw a clip of the product placements online and talk about embarrasing! Can you imagine anyone asking a GH actor to do that crap? They would tell them to take a hike! I felt so embarrased for the actors and I don’t even watch.
They’ve done product placement on GH. They did it for the movie Nine. The actors were talking about the movie one day and how they wanted to go see it. It was more subtle. This week’s 90210 had blantant product placement of the My Phone with Adriana sending a text picture to Silver and a real close up of the phone. They have to now because everyone tivos through the commercials.
GH boring??HAve u watched Days lately?OMG..that is the stupidiest show.ANd the worse actin..The only reason that soap hasnt been cancelled is because of Crystal Chappell.I used to love Days but not anymore.STories are way too slow.GH is fast paced and great actors.Thats why all these tv and movie actors are on there.
The thing that bugs me about Days is the writers always have the characters talk to themselves to make a plot point. Or always show a flashback to remind viewers what happened the day before. GH doesn’t do this!
