Lynch — whose Emmy-winning performance as Glee’s menacing Sue Sylvester earned her a Golden Globe nomination on Tuesday — plays Roz, Homer’s new assistant at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. “This woman seems terrifically nice, but then it turns out she’s just completely undermining him every step of the way and gets his job — until he can discover her one weakness with the help of Ned Flanders,” explains Simpsons executive producer Al Jean.
Jean notes that it was an easy decision to cast Lynch as the duplicitous Roz: “She can do edge, sweetness, and a mix of both,” he says of the actress, who recorded her lines last week. “I’m just embarrassed we didn’t ask her before she was so successful because she’s funny in everything she does. We were very happy when she said yes.” The episode, titled “Replaceable You,” is slated to air early next season. Three of Lynch’s Glee co-stars — Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Amber Riley — guest-starred on the first episode of this season.

Cool.
Cool. Just another Simpson’s episode I wouldn’t be watching regardless, but now I will make it a point not to watch.
Watch out Fonzie….shark jump ahead….again.
Not GLEE again…c’mon the show has been on for 22 years, anything but not GLEE pleeeeeeeease!
Hmm. What is it you hate? The award-winning acting? The cutting wit? The brilliantly written scripts? You MUST be important!
wow if u have nothing nice to say dont say a word at all
F*ck Glee! Do that many people really like karaoke mixed with over-acting?
Yes.
Yes. Very much so. Hence the fact that it’s a TV show.
Soooo, since some people have an interest in things like murder, or ways to torture a person, does that warrant the creation of a network sitcom about it?
Nevermind, they already did that with Two and a Half Men…
Scripted American Idol is what this is.
Mayyybee peeppulll hoo arrrnnnt smmaaarrtt ennuffff to gittit?
Hell yes we do!
Yes

dont be so f*****g bang out. go get a life!
“The Simpsons” having a guest star on? Shock and surprise.
Yes…just like the latter episodes of the Flintstones…here we go again.
Go ahead and come up with 470 original ideas yourself and then you’re allowed to complain about the guest stars.
Yep, we do. We do not, however, like slimy little lizzard pants like you.
@ Vic
I truly hope she gets to stretch a little from playing all these nasty, evil women. She’s a tremendous actress.
Yeah, I caught her in “The Fugitive” the other day on cable and was surprised to see her in a non-comedic role.
Woo-hoo!
Good as cant wait to c
WAY COOL!!!
Damn you, Glee!
You and your Unracist show choir!
what episode?
When will this unfunny person’s 5 minutes of “fame” be over?
Never. Shame you have no sense of humour
i cant play;
I am SO disappointed in Entertainment Weekly for their continuous coverage on all things Jane Lynch and Glee, and absolutely NO coverage on my favorite show “Property Virgins”. Unbelievable, EW. I MAY just cancel my subscription over this one, but that would require me to leave the basement to obtain a phone, so… you win for now…
Good one.
Just like with all shows nearing the finale, guest stars have to be sent to prop up the flailing ratings and soak up those last few hangers-on.
I can’t stand Glee, and will make sure I watch anything else. Even the back of my eyelids would be better than this one.
Sounds like the briefly mentioned worker Zebor from the episode where Marge gets hired at the plant. Though, I guess the Simpsons’ writers haven’t had an original idea in some 15 years.
