Oh dear, that’s going to be too hard to watch. It’s very hard to even look at him.
Roger isn’t even going to be on the show.
Yes he is. He’ll have a segment where he will appear. He talks through a computer program.
The new co-host should be Richard Roeper. He’s still reviewing films; I bet he’d love to do this.
He was asked that question, he says he has his own thing and is really busy.
Welcome back–I really missed watching this show . I have been a fan since the 70′s with the wonderful late Siskel and the great Ebert. Ebert and Richard Roeper did a great job until Roger became ill. It is a shame that the show was then cancelled when A.O Scott and Michael Phillips had great chemistry, and I looked forward to their reviews every week!! All the best to you Roger, and good luck with the new version– I will be watching!!(Maybe you could bring back A.O. Scott and Michael Phillips!?!)
Amanda, Roger is not going to be one of the hosts as you can see above in the article. It will be Lemire and someone to be announced.
I love Roger Ebert!!!
Good , more experts……
Phillips! Bring him back! He’s Chicago local, and he’s experienced!
If it says Roger Ebert and he is not on air, it will fail.
Well, thanks, Karnak. Wonder why they programmed it, then.
Thing is, Roger has said he’ll be on it, in a recurring segment separate from the main reviews.
Can…not…friggin….wait!!!! I so miss At The Movies.
I think the reason At the Movies got cancelled is because Roeper left or fired or whatever happened. If he had very quickly chosen a permanent replacement and the show turned into “Roeper and so-and-so” it’d still be going. Having two brand new people wasn’t the same in anybody’s eyes, or at least not to me
Agreed that while it is so sad to see what Roger looks like now, the courage he is showing to go forward and do what he does as well as if not better than anyone is a wonderful tribute to him.
An enthusiastic thumbs up!!!!!!!
