Pee-wee Herman is returning to HBO. The cable network announced that it will film Paul Reubens’ Broadway show, The Pee-wee Herman Show, in early January, with plans to air it later in 2011. The stage production will wrap up its two-month run at New York’s Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Jan. 2. “Before his hit series and movies, HBO introduced Paul Reubens’ Pee-wee Herman to a national audience in the ‘Young Comedians’ series, followed by the groundbreaking 1981 special,” noted HBO’s senior v.p. Nancy Geller. “It’s thrilling to have Paul back on the network, and it will be a blast to return to Pee-wee’s Playhouse.”

Good to see that Reuben’s career is doing well again. I’ll look forward to the special.
Saw the show in California.
Can’t wait to see it again on HBO.
Sounds good.
