…dedicated to Chuck!
I had planned to build the suspense with the poll results. I wanted to blend photos so that it would look as though characters from the top two shows in the poll were in a gun battle for first place. (Fact: I would have used this photo of Booth and this photo of Chuck.) But what’s the point? Chuck fans pretty much took the Spoiler Room poll I put up last week and made it their bitch.
So CONGRATULATIONS Chuck fans. You win. Very soon, there will be a special edition of Spoiler Room dedicated solely to Chuck, and you have yourselves to thank. (You can thank me, too.)
So get your questions in now. Comment, tweet them to me (@EWSandraG) or email spoilerroom@ew.com.
As mentioned before, Bones, indeed, came in second, and Castle, NCIS, and Gossip Girl rounded out the top 5.

Yay! I love when Chuck wins things… even minor things like this. It really does have an amazing fan base, so I have no idea how it is struggling with ratings.
My guess it is has something to do with fans like me who do not watch it on TV or DVR it, but rather make sure to catch it online every week (which unfortunately is not taken into account with the ratings system–a major flaw in the system these days).
It isn’t overlooked, it’s just not as important if you are watching it on Hulu or NBC.com. There is less advertisement so a view on the internet is not as beneficial to the network as a view on TV. Or, if you buy it on iTunes, it is taken into account by both the network AND the production company, so it is definitely taken into account.
I agree Julie, I’m loving that chuck is getting some love now. Can’t wait for the scoop.
Yes! There can never be too much Chuck news!
Yay, Chuck FTW! I guess the only question I have is “when should we expect the epic proposal that seems to be coming?” but I think I can make a good guess at that.
Any plans to phase out the Buy More characters all together. Other than Morgan’s presence in the store, neither Casey nor Chuck are there enough to merit the Buy More cover story any more. The less Jeffster, the better, in my opinion. They just cheapen the show and detract from the greatness that is Chuck, Casey, Sarah and gang.
Schwartz and co. will never write them out. Also, I like their fun problems. A good episode of Chuck can do both storylines to perfection.
can you pass your poll results onto NBC for us? So the next time they think of canning our show you can remind them how crazy into Chuck that we are. We’re rabid i tell ya.
Here here! … Or is it hear hear! Dang it, I never know!!!
I love Chuck… Just wish NBC could recognize that, but hey it’s the little victories like this that count.
YAY! CHUCK
Can we expect any more Awesome missions? I love watching him freak out
Will they make good of theire promise NOT to tear Chuck & Sarah apart again (or team Chuck for that matter) or will we have to suffer another season 3 meltdown?
Please say no!
How many more shows will there be? Are they going to have another season next year?
And do they count “on demand” as part of the ratings? Because we don’t always get to watch it on regular TV but go to cable “on demand” to see it.
I enjoy Chuck a lot and have quite a few questions:
Why did NBC order a back 11 instead of a typical 9 episodes?
Has NBC given any indication of whether they will even consider a season 5 of Chuck?
What is the minimum Nielsen demo rating NBC desires in order for Chuck to be renewed?
Has anyone actually put together an application to nominate Ms Strahovski for her work on the episode Chuck vs Phase Three? (Other than http://www.emmy4yvonne.com) My wife and I enjoy viewing Ms Strahovski’s performances alot and believe she deserves at least the Emmy nomination.
What style of martial arts does Ms Strahovski practice? What belt level has she acheived? What forms/kempo has she learnt?
What is the planned theme for the remaining 11 episodes?
How does Ms Strahovski prepare for a scene? Does she practice in front of a mirror?
What is Mr McPartlin’s workout and diet plan?
I’ve noticed that there are many episodes where the story seems to be written around scenes where women are objectified. Is this the desired storytelling goal? And if so, after 4 seasons of doing this and no visible improvement in ratings, is this a good strategy to continue?
All in all, season 4 is my favourite and I hope this style of storytelling continues.
Also, is the plan to have a Chuck+Sarah wedding to end the series? I ask because Chuck has done great storytelling things that buck the trend, such as putting Chuck and Sarah together, and ratings have still not been visibly impacted, so I would hope the producers would take more risks and give us a season starting with Chuck vs the Ring part 3 and Chuck vs the Honeymooners part 2.
Actually, I would be interested in seeing the stories that have a pregnant Sarah in them, and that would be AFTER they are married. Unlike other shows, this series can go ANYWHERE with it’s stories. We got one episode revolving around Jeff’s back story, I’m sure there’s more back stories to tell.
It’s good to see that in a sea of procedural crime dramas, standard issue sitcoms, and ‘reality’ competition shows, a true original like “Chuck” gets some real attention.
No other show on television combines comedy, drama, and suspense like this one. And no other show is as unpredictable as “Chuck”, in terms of knowing how any given episode’s direction will go and how it will end. Kudos to all of the fans that support this TV series.
Also, in vs the Fake Name, Sarah revealed her real first name to Shaw. What was the storytelling purpose for this? Sarah’s real name has been something Chuck has wanted since vs the Wookie, so wasn’t vs the Fake Name a dramatic let down?
Yes, just another example of the horrible writing that was done for that story line involving Shaw (and watching Timothy Dalton just shows how bad Brandon Routh really was). Fortunately, it seems quite clear that the producers heard the complaints of the fan base, as season 4 has been stellar.
How many of these spoilers will not already been covered by chuckgasmic?
