Have you been wondering what Paula Abdul’s been up to? Eight days before American Idol kicks off, Abdul will premiere her new dance show on CBS, Live to Dance. As a man says in the promo below, “There is a lot at stake here,” but you realize that the moment you hear the clip’s pulsing heartbeat and see the ginormous sliced golf ball that serves as the show’s theater. Competitors of all shapes, sizes, and ages are competing for $500,000, and Abdul lays out her criteria this way: “I want different. I want new. I want amazing people to live in their unique ability.” Hence, the ballerinas, the popping-and-freaking — and are those dancing zombies? Check it out.

I stopped watched American Idol because of Paula, why would I start watching a new show featuring Paula? I don’t fault the dancers, but this looks like it’ll be as successful as Skating with the Stars.
I’m going to go the opposite way of the previous comments and say that I am going to watch it. I love SYTYCD and Paula, so this seems like a show that I will enjoy.
I’m with Jill–I love SYTYCD and don’t mind Paula, so I’ll give it a whirl, especially as it looks like there will be some great dancing.
