Conan O'Brien rocks the under-34 set

conan-obrienImage Credit: TBSAdults between the ages of 18-34 have definitely drifted to TBS to get their late night fix: Through his first six weeks at his new network, Conan O’Brien has ranked as TV’s top late-night talk show among adults 18-34, according to TBS stats. The median age of CONAN was 33 for the first six weeks – tying with TBS’s Lopez Tonight as late-night TV’s youngest talk show.

CONAN wrapped up the last week before the holidays (Dec. 20-23) with an average of 530,000 adults 18-34. Overall, the show averaged 1.3 million viewers for the week.

During the period from Sept. 28 to Dec. 27, TBS has ranked in second place among all basic cable nets in adults 18-34 and adults 18-49, behind ESPN. USA finished at No. 3 in both demos.

Yay! go coco!! proud to say i am part of that group

    • Bob

Proud? Of what? What the hell did you do? Get born?

      • Kleg

        Sweet life, BOB.

      • Bob

Oh my life is nothing compared to the glory of being born from 1976 to 1992. Would that we were all so lucky.

      • Karina

i was born and i watch conan which i believe are two things to be very proud of! haha

    • Jerry

LOL…you got to love TBS’ spin. Conan is now doing numbers almost identical to what Lopez Tonight did exactly 1 year ago. LOL

      • Ann

Haha…my thoughts exactly. Only TBS is paying Conan a lot more money to shove Lopez back to a later timeslot…something Conan was unwilling to do himself…

      • JT

Except now TBS has two popular late-night shows instead of just one. I am sure TBS will make plenty of money on this deal.

      • Jimmy Hendrx

LOL except that not! Conan has at least doubled Lopez’ total viewer numbers, created far more ad revenue for them, and has given their channel a shitload of sorely needed publicity and good PR

    • Jen

I’m with Coco and agree with Karina. Bob just has nothing better to do!

  • Mike Mott

I love the new show! He just seems so much more relaxed and it seems like he is having a lot of fun in the process!!! I hope he eventually brings back some of his old skits and gags. I miss “if they mated” or “year 2000″

I’m sure NBC is claiming “intellectual rights” to If They Mated =^(

  • jp

Not part of that bracket anymore, but I still remain loyal to my Conesie. :)

  • bamalam

Love Conan, but how in the world is 1.3 million viewers good? It’s good for Cable…but what are the ratings for the network late-night shows? I understand it IS late-night, so ratings will be low…but 1.3 million just seems abysmal for networks…

  • LOL

    I’m with Coco!

  • Amber

Love the new show. I’m 24, and watch it every night with my 14 year old sister. He’s more relaxed, with the same loose comedy I saw on the Legally Prohibited Tour. Such a joy to watch.

  • Carrie

I’m glad he’s doing well. I like him and I like his show.

  • leemats

And the countdown for some idiot who likes Jay Leno to post a negative comment begins…..NOW!

  • Susie

Yeah, but…how many cars does he have?

  • angeljake

I like Jimmy Fallon…his guests especially the musical guests are amazing…:)

    • bringbackrocky

A good night of late night TV would be to start with Conan and finish with Jimmy Fallon. Both are really hitting their stride right now.

    • Jen

Me too! Jimmy is my new favorite, but my husband still loves Conan.

  • Robin

I am glad to see he is doing well with his new show. I really like how the layout is… where he can interact with the audience. He seems relaxed now, and enjoying himself, as we are.
Too bad they don’t tally up folks that watch the show via teamcoco site.

  • zar

Go Conan!!! You’re really the best!!!

  • zar

    Conan’s really the best!!!

  • Dri Guerra

I really enjoy Jimmy Fallon’s Lane Nights, I do watch Conan I think he is great and very funny, and I am Team Coco but if I had to chose I would chose Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Late Night, but I don’t have to chose so I can see them both :D

  • Mark

The show is great. Sometimes his monologues don’t go over very well but he always makes up for it with something totally out there and hilarious. The robot rabbi was a stroke of genius.

    • jeffeastwood15

The robot Rabbi is a hoot. Glad they had it (him?) on several episodes.
