WEtv confirmed that Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton has signed up for a docusoap series. And just as Braxton transforms herself into a reality star, the network announced Tuesday that it will undergo a makeover as well: WEtv now has a new logo and marketing tagline.
Braxton Family Values looks at the relationship between the singer/songwriter, her mom, and her four sisters — all aspiring singers themselves.
The network also announced Staten Island Cakes, which gets into the burgeoning pastry-reality genre. Cakes follows Vinny Buzzetta, a 21-year-old “self-made pastry prodigy and sought-after cake maker” and his “loud, outspoken Staten Island family.” Sounds subtle!
As for that new network tagline. Drumroll please…
It’s: “Life As WE Know It.”

Great, another D-list celeb “reality” show. Who cares about Toni Braxton’s so-called life? And a show about an obnoxious, cake-baking family? Fabulous…
This sounds utterly boring, and I’m disappointed that WE could go in almost any direction and chose to imitate TLC. I already like real TLC, I don’t need WE’s version.
It is great to see others moving forward with their lives, helping others and creating great cakes. If you don’t like it cancel your cable service and sell your TV. Miserable people like you are never happy…..

I lov the Braxtons family show they are wild and crazy. I like them all but Tamar is my favorite and the Mother is funny. GABE is crazy too. Gotta lov them all. I HOPE THEY STAY ANOTHER 3 OR MORE SEASONS.
