'Hot in Cleveland,' 'All My Children' crossover coming

ABC and TV Land are teaming to have characters from All My Children and Hot in Cleveland cross over. The move continues a storyline that started during the first season of Cleveland.

Lucci, Michael E. Knight and Darnell Williams will guest star on the TV Land breakout show, while Cleveland‘s Malick’s Victoria Chase will appear on Children as Gertie, a housekeeper who ends up moonlighting as a bartender at Confusion after Lucci’s Erica Kane fires her.

“There is only room for one Erica Kane in Pine Valley, and Victoria Chase will unfortunately find that out the hard way,” Brian Frons, daytime president at Disney/ABC Television Group, told reporters at the annual TCA Press Tour today. “This is a unique opportunity to raise awareness of both shows with similar demos, and we expect each other’s viewers to follow from one show to the next.”

The two-part Cleveland episodes will air on TV Land on Feb. 16 and 23; The All My Children episode will air on ABC on Feb. 24.

This will be great! Can’t wait! Especially since Susan Lucci was hilarious on “Hot in Cleveland”s last episode of the first season!

Superb, superb move for both shows – this sounds like so much fun. It’s work too – not an All My Children watcher but I’m not missing this.

I would of preferred if Jacob Young and Melissa Claire Egan were guest starring on Hot in Cleavland and not Michael E. Knight and Darnell Williams.

Great news! Lucci kicked off 2011 with a tour de force “all Erica” episode this past Monday and proved that she still has IT after 41 years. She is now the longest running performer on television–that deserves some recognition, EW!!!

I like Hot in Cleveland but will never watch a soap opera just to follow a story arc.

Thanks Kristin! And we appreciate your cneoitund listenership (if that is even a word, the red squiggly line underneath it suggests that it isn’t, but I don’t care). We will hopefully be recording our next podcast sometime soon. Feel free to email or leave a voice mail with your thoughts on the season, and what you are looking forward to next season. And if I use a straw for the next episode, I can’t promise that I won’t use it to blow bubbles in my drink.-Levi
