How you doin’? Looks like talk show host and author Wendy Williams is doin’ just fine as she gets set to tape two episodes of ABC’s One Life to Live on Jan. 12, according to a show rep. Williams will bring her signature sense of fun from her syndicated show to her role as Phyllis Rose, host of the fictional Access Llanview. Seems like she will take on the show’s reigning family when she hosts a special edition of Access Llanview called “The Buchanans, A Family Under Siege.” The episodes will air on March 2 and March 28, the latter of which will also include an appearance by Kourtney Kardashian.

Why the trash casting? First it’s announced one of the Kardashian bimbos will be on One Life, now this sleazy talk show “host”? What’s next the citizens of Llanview vacation at the Jersey Shore? If I wanted to watch trashvision, I’d turn on MTV or Bravo not ABC!

@Joe B. There is a huge difference. Soaps are doing all sorts of stunts to try to attract ratings, and real soap fans don’t like it.
Not that I like the idea of Wendy Williams or a Kardashian coming onto OLTL for any amount of time, it’s strange to throw stones at “trashy” shows considering the heat we take about watching soaps. Also, as a (too) long-standing “real” fan of all the ABC soaps, I still watch Jersey Shore and can easily get into any episode of a Kardashian show. It’s kind of silly to imply the two fanbases don’t sometimes intersect.
It’s harmless fun. Wendy and Kourtney are only going to be on for a couple of episodes. And if they bring in a few new viewers all the better.

I DON’T UNDERSTAND YOU GUYS! FIRST OF ALL, WHY IS WENDY WILLIAMS SLEAZY NOW?? I THINK IT’S GREAT THEY’RE TRYING TO ATTRACT DIFFERENT AUDIENCES, SO WHAT’S WRONG WITH THAT. OH AND I THINK SHE WILL BE GREAT ON THE SHOW!
