Image Credit: Paul Drinkwater/NBCRicky Gervais may have been deliciously brutal with his jokes, but it wasn’t enough to put NBC in the winner’s circle last night: A mighty football over-run propelled CBS to a first-place finish in adults 18-49 (5.8 rating/15 share) and viewers (20.3 million), according to early estimates. The results are particularly loosey-goosey given the nature of live programming on CBS and NBC, but it looks like the AFC Divisional Playoffs earned a whopping 13.6/35 in primetime, giving significant boosts to 60 Minutes (4.1/10, 17.2 million), Undercover Boss (3.3/8, 13.2 million) and CSI: Miami (2.3/6, 10.3 million). Each 18-49 ratings point equals 1.3 million.
The Golden Globes gave NBC a second place finish for the night in adults 18-49 and viewers (17 million). The three-hour awards telecast averaged a 5.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 17 million viewers, according to time zone-adjusted results. It won its time period among all the key demographics and in viewers.

Probably going to be NBC’s highest rated telecast of the year…
It was a good day of tv, football and the golden globes, but it wont match today with two all new episodes of ‘Victorious’ tonight!!!!!
tat because i watch DH online every Mon.
That’s a lot of people watching TV.
Was totally disgusted with Ricky Gervais, host of the Golden Globes Awards show, last night. His behavior was so rude & then at the end of the show, he said that he “Thank God that he was an atheist.” If he is the host next year, my family will not be watching the show. He needs someone to teach him what class is, because he does’nt know how to act as a gentleman in AMERICA. Sincerely, Joy Slaughter
Joy, you are talking about rubbish.
Ricky is the best.
