The good days are few and far between for the characters on Southland, and tonight’s episode is no exception. In fact, you could say that tonight is a very, very bad day — and not just for John and Ben, who are seen here taking down a man on PCP. [Spoiler phobes stop here.]
In the episode, Ben learns that he’s still very much in the training process after he botches several calls (including the pictured one involving the man in tighty-whiteys), and Lydia works a case only to find out the suspect is who she least expected. Meanwhile, Nate and Sammy work a case that turns out to have extreme consequences. Consider this your warning: Don’t miss the last five minutes. Yes, people always say that, but we mean it this time. Everything will change.

I was shocked to see Kevin Alejandro aka Nate’s character killed. I love this show and I love seeing Kevin Alejandro. I will have to wait to see Kevin Alejandro on HBO’s ‘True Blood’ playing a gay and a witch. He’s truly a versital actor. LOL

I just started watching The Wire on DVD and it’s fantastic. It reminds me alot of one of my all time favorite shows – Homocide, Life on the Street. I’m completely hooked on The Wire.
‘The Wire’ is too depressing and black. Baltimore is a very depressing and poor city plagued with crime.

Agree the actors are so good way better than half the BULL on TV I have watched from the beginning glad TNT is giving the show the love it deserves everyone I have told to watch it LOVES it cant wait for tonite!
I will not miss this show. It is one of the best–if not THEE best shows on televison. NBC dropping this shows more about what is wrong with NBC than anything else.
Good Show! I hope Sammy can get wife Tammy and her boyfriend out of his house. To be an LAPD detective, I just don’t see how he’s repeatedly blindsided by her and her terrible character.
I’ve read many comments that TV is lacking, well all those people making TV shows just need to look at this show to see what the people want, network TV can’t do a show like this, needs to be cable, but what a blueprint to follow… balls in your court TV producers

I can’t believe they killed off Nate, he was my 2nd fav on the show, just behind Ben. I’m so bummed. That scene at the end with Nate’s wife and Sammy was a tear-jerker. Why, why is he gone? Did he want to leave or was it TPTB? So very LAME!!
I think Kevin Alejandro left Southland because he’s becoming a regular on True Blood. It’s a Catch-22 because I love Southland, but I LOOOOVE True Blood.
Yes, Nate dies. I like his character. Plus he’s sexy and attractive with nice color eyes.
Watched/ listened to the last 3 episodes today while @ work. I usually listen to music on AOL as I work at my computer but today I had to get my Southland fix. I have loved this show since day one. It’s fun for me to listen to previous episodes since I have already watched them!
Can EW please have more reviews and articles about Southland. It’s really one of the best shows on TV right and the best cop drama. Especially after tonight’s episode. Show Southland some love!
