Another piece falls into place on ABC’s Charlie’s Angels project: Marcos Siega has closed a deal to direct the pilot.
Siega helped get The CW’s Vampire Diaries off the ground with a strong first episode, and has also directed episodes of Showtime’s Dexter, CBS’ Cold Case and CW’s Veronica Mars. Siega was tapped by his fellow CW veterans, Angels‘ writing-producing team Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (who, of course, created Smallville).
The Angels re-boot firmed up its much-buzzed-about trio of leads on Friday, adding Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor to the previously announced Annie Ilonzeh (pic here).

I love Vampire Diaries but I thought the pilot absolutely sucked. Though I guess that wasn’t completely down to direction, moreso crappy acting and script.
I’m still rather unsure about this remake… I’ll give it a chance though as the Hawaii Five-O remake is pretty darn good.
I agree the tvd pilot was weak, however Marcos Seiga has gone on to direct many more episodes since the pilot that have been pretty good.
However it won’t be the director that’ll make me decide to give the show a try or not.
I loved the pilot episode.I always enjoy the beginnings of a show, as it brings together all the cast so you can get to know them.It is still one of my favorite episodes.
Well, I don`t know how you do it, Carole but, once again you have come up with some practical and brlnliait ideas on how to shift negativity. I especially like the one about music, because I have been using this, probably without realising all my life!! I`m really enjoying your emails The Universe ME . On a bad day, it`s SO nice to open my inbox and find a colourful, inspirational message That is really just like seeing the `rainbow on a dark, rainy day`- Or, perhaps, finding the pot of gold at the end??
Who will be the voice of Charlie?
