I wish we got the series on TV here in Australia but it seemed to disappear after the first series. I’ve bought all 3 on DVD – cant wait for 4 to come out. Bring it on!
Why would they go to DirectTV??????????
To save the show. This is something that the non-DirecTV users don’t seem to understand. This isn’t some conspiracy between the show’s creators and DirecTV.
FX stopped funding the show and it was going to go OFF THE AIR for good. Yes, DirecTV has an alterior motive…they are hoping to get more subscribers, and they just might…but by investing in the show, they will be making it available on their channel and, eventually, on DVD and possible on line. Since Amazon’s new video -on-demand service is already carrying old episodes, I’m betting you’ll see it there soon.
Another poster asked why ABC, NBC or one of the other networks didn’t pick this up. The broadcast channels would *NEVER* put this show on the air, and if they did, it would have to be watered down from its current form (language, violence, etc).
I’m also guessing that most of the people saying “I’ll never switch to DirecTV” know little or nothing about the service or have heard all kinds of misinformation about it. I’ve had it in my home since 1998, and I wouldn’t switch to cable unless they pried my dish from my cold dear fingers.
Love Damages, and I’m sure going to miss it this summer, but I’d never switch to DirecTV. Hopefully, the 3rd and 4th season will be out on DVD later.
Very upsetting that they took this show off FX. Who wants to switch companies for one show? They are NUTS!!!! Now I have to have a friend tape it for me and go to her house every week to watch it. I may just have to wait until it’s on Netflix and watch it then. RIDICULOUS!
ONLY on DirecTV that is a really drag that isn’t available in Canada(legally)
