That ’70s Show star Danny Masterson’s Playing With Guns project has found a new home: Comedy Central, which just greenlit a pilot.
This marks the second time the show’s pilot has been ordered. The first was last April, back when Spike TV was developing the show. Since, the show has been reworked (wild guess: more funny?) and re-cast (Ethan Suplee from My Name Is Earl joins), and is now being re-shot for a new network.
Guns (from Varsity Pictures, Lionsgate and Central Productions) is about two slacker best friends who sign up for a job that allows them to hang out together, run red lights, and best of all, play with guns. They become cops, patrolling the suburban town they grew up in and trying to get the most out of their badges while doing the least amount of police work possible.

Project sounds interesting. I’ve always been a fan of Danny’s, especially as Hyde on That 70s Show, so it’s good to see him coming back to TV.
I’m excited to hear about this show, since I’ve always been a fan of Danny’s and Ethan’s “Randy” was hilarious on My Name Is Earl. Comedy Central seems like a good fit for the show. I hope the pilot gets picked up.
I immediately went to Clockwork Orange. Well well well.
I don’t want to be the boy who cries “Scientology nepotism”, but how is it that Suplee only seems to co-star in projects with fellow OT’s?
Sounds like Reno 911. I miss that show.
Sounds Hilarious can’t wait to see. Two very funny and talented actors in this type role”them as Cops LOL” Gotta be good.
Does anyone know when the show will air? It sounds awesome!
