'Justified': Stuntwoman injured on set

Sources tell EW exclusively that a stuntwoman on FX’s Justified was rushed to the hospital last night and remains there today after being injured on the set. The matter is described as serious, but not life threatening. Details are vague, with sources suggesting the incident wasn’t anything dramatic or scandalous like weapons misfire, but rather a simple accident (such as slipping and falling at the wrong time). Still, with fistfights, gun-battles and explosions in every episode — one reason we love the show — an eventual on-set injury is probably not hugely surprising. We hope the stuntwoman gets better soon and, in the meantime, here’s those Justified season two posters again.

    Speedy recovery-Stunt people ROCK

I love this show but I wish it would move to Thursday at 9 when there is nothing else on. It conflicts with SVU on Wednesdays, and SVU isn’t available online so I have to watch it live and then I miss the delicious Timothy all the more. Except that now I just remembered that 30 Rock is on at 9 on Thursday. Sigh.

Hi there! It’s me the injured stuntwoman. Thanks for the concern.
My whiplash/neck injury was not caused by the sheer lusciousness of he that is Timothy Olyphant. My jaw did not fall to the ground when I accidentally walked in Timothy coming out of the shower wearing nothing but a smile. However, I do admit that my heart is quite completely broken by the realization that Walton Goggins will never be mine and I did get a a little banged up in that cat fight I had with Ava and Winona!

No offense to the real stunt woman. I hope she is fine and returns to work soon. But I do hope she realizes she is a lucky, lucky woman just to go to work every day and be able to look at Timothy and Walton!

I hope you get punched in the face today. That stuntwoman is close to death right now.

I believe the stuntwoman is in ICU in an induced coma after suffering a severe head injury. Someone at EW should check their facts.

Not the same “stuntwoman”. I believe you may be referring to well known stunt woman Lisa Hoyle, who suffered a critical head injury this morning on an early morning “movie” shoot. Lots of stunt people, lots of sets… checking facts is a good suggestion.

Is the same stuntwoman, you should check your facts!!!! And stop making fun of a terrible accident!!

If you’re referring to my comment, you must have misunderstood, because I certainly don’t think it’s funny at all. Nor did I make any statement that would suggest I was “making fun”. This article states that a stuntwoman was NOT seriously injured- I happen to know that Lisa Hoyle suffered a critical injury and was therefore pointing out they must not be referring to the same person.

It is Lisa Hoyle, and the accident did occur on the set of Justified early Thurs a.m., and she is currently in an induced coma.

OMG! Prayers go out to her and her family.
