Deuce Bigalow, er, Rob Schneider will headline a sitcom pilot just ordered by CBS. The untitled laugher from Lew Morton (Futurama) will feature Schneider – last seen in Grown Ups - as a confirmed bachelor who marries into a tight-knit Mexican-American family. Schneider also helped to write the pilot that’s executive produced by Eric and Kim Tannenbaum.
CBS also picked up another comedy pilot on Friday called Homeground, which focuses on four generations of a blue-collar midwestern family living under the same roof. It’s from writers Jackie Filgo and Jeff Filgo (The New Adventures of Old Christine).
Fall 2011-12 development: Will reboots of Wonder Woman and Charlie’s Angels become great hits?

Im in!!..no, not really.
Neither of these shows sounds interesting, imo.
I can’t remember the last time that dude was funny.
Same here. he’s not funny at all.
if it’s supposed to be a comedy, why would Schneider be in it?
Last time I saw Rob Schneider he’d accidentally ingested Kenny’s soul in a pot roast.
John can be funny when he wants to be i want to know when we can watch some good wholesome shows with all these great people
I think its a good idea, whereas some of Arab countries perform this type of series as another flavour of tv comic show.
Is the headline supposed to get us excited? Rob Schneider? No thank you.
Apparently Pauly Shore was unavailable?
Rob needs really good talent around him in order to be funny. If the rest of the cast is good, and of course the writing, it could work. I like the premise. Rob doesn’t really impress me that much. Would rather have Adam Sandler.
At least we were spared a Copy Guy movie.
You can do it!!!
Fumble-i-yaaaaa, Fumble-rouskiiiiii
Schneider’s The Man, Im Interested in seeing this show.
Rob can be among the funniest humans on the planet with good writing. Deuce Bigelow, both of them, made me laugh more than most movies.
Yeah, he can be funny. A decent sitcom could work really well for him.
