AMC has its marketing key art ready for its new crime drama series The Killing. The Killing launches on Sunday, April 3 at 9 p.m. with a two-hour premiere. For those who missed the trailer for the mystery thriller, go here and check that out too. Here’s the poster:

Would have been nice if you’d mentioned this is a remake of a Danish series since the poster says ORIGINAL series which is obviously complete BS.
BTW I didn’t like the original series, never got into it.
They seem to be doing that quite often, Being Human is billed as a syfy original when it is pretty much identical to the BBC version. I agree they shouldnt be allowed to do that. Respect must be paid to the original creators IMO
“Original” means its a new PRODUCTION, not a new concept.
The Danish series was amazing! Can´t they think of anything truly original instead of remaking stuff and claiming it to be original??? One can only hope this at least partly lives up to the original – then it shouldn´t be too bad
Let me guess: You’re one of those people who thought the Coen brothers shouldn’t have been allowed to remake TRUE GRIT?
I picture the producers sitting around a table going “are you sure that’s the blandest, most generic title we can give this show?” “Yes, boss.” “Okay then, The Killing it is!”
Actually, it’s a loose translation of the original Danish title. (A literal translation would have been “The Crime.”)

Any one that does the minimal research on this will find that AMC gives full accredation to Forbydelsen, the incredible series from which The Killing is adapted. As it was pointed out, Original means a show that isn’t off-network, and is newly produced and not seen before in the U.S.
Lastly, it will be a captivating and distinctive TV series unlike the dozens of crime genre series on TV past and present…
