Law & Order: SVU and Chicago Hope veteran Christine Lahti has been cast in the lead role in CBS’ medical drama pilot The Doctor.
She plays a mom who reconnects with her grown-up when she joins the family’s medical practice.
Admittedly, this is one of the less sexy-sounding pilots lined up for the fall season — what with all the wonder women and Playboy bunnies and magical realms in the mix, but that’s how CBS rolls. Rita Mimoun (Gilmore Girls) is exec producer and pilot pro David Nutter (The Mentalist) is director.
Good! Anything to keep her off SVU. Worst ADA ever after Sharon Stone. I hope they both never come back
nah the endless line of no talent ridulous supermodels posing as ADA’S were a lot worse, the only realy decent one was Diane Neal and they fired her!
With all due respect to Ms. Stephanie March who was the first ADA, I do think that Diane Neal has been the absolute best ADA. All of these others have been terrible actors. It’s odd because Sharon Stone is considered royalty to some but she totally bombed. I don’t understand why on Earth they got ride of Diane Neal. Maybe she wanted more money? I don’t get it. Dick Wolf is an idiot.

From your lips to the TV god’s ear, Prunella. I like Lahti, but I just can’t watch another show about doctors, cops, or lawyers. There ARE other ways people make their livings & spend their days!
Looks like Lahti can finally put her time under the scalpel to goot use. It certainly didn’t help her face.
