'Infinite Playlist' star Dennings lands CBS comedy pilot

Kat-DenningsImage Credit: Lester Cohen/WireImage.comActress Kat Dennings has secured a starring role in a CBS comedy pilot by Sex and the City scribe Michael Patrick King and comic Whitney Cummings.

Two Broke Girls is a multi-camera comedy about, well, two girls without many resources who live in NYC (what do you want to bet their apartment will look like it costs ten grand a month?). The pilot is being directed by sitcom master James Burrows.

Dennings and King have worked together before (she appeared on SATC early in her career), and she also starred in Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist and has a part in the upcoming Thor.
