Charlie Sheen slams 'Two and a Half Men' creator in multiple rants

Charlie-SheenImage Credit: Greg Gayne/CBSCharlie Sheen ripped Two and a Half Men co-creator Chuck Lorre — as well as Alcoholics Anonymous and women he parties with — in a stunning live radio rant Thursday, and then followed up a few hours later with a reported second rant to TMZ directed at Lorre specifically.

Calling into the Alex Jones Show radio program according to TMZ, Sheen called the executive producer of his hit TV show a “clown” and said his real name is “Haim Levine” (Lorre was born Charles Michael Levine).

“I didn’t care about that vanity card, I went straight home and dispelled that, that was actually one of the few compliments that clown has paid me in frickin’ almost a decade,” Sheen says of the vanity card Lorre ran after the Feb. 14 episode of Men, saying he will be pissed if Sheen outlives him. “I embarrassed him in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that this un-evolved mind cannot process. I’ve spent, I think, close to the last decade, I don’t know, effortlessly and magically converting your tin can into pure gold. And the gratitude I get is this charlatan chose not to do his job, which is to write.”

Seemingly referring to women he parties with, Sheen says, “If I bring up these turds, these… losers, there’s no reason to then bring them back into the fold because I have real fame, they have nothing. They have zero. They have that night. And I will forget about them as the last image of them exits my beautiful home. And they will get out there and they will sell me and they will lose. Bring me a frickin’ challenge. It just ain’t there.”

Regarding AA, Sheen called the organization a “bootleg cult” with a five percent success rate.

“I have a disease?” he said. “Bulls—. I cured it… with my mind… it’s all good guys. Quit panicking. No panic, no judgment… You can kill me but you do not have the right to judge me… I can’t use the word sober because that’s a term from those people, and I have cleansed myself. I have closed my eyes and in a nanosecond I cured myself from this ridiculous… It’s just the work of sissies. The only thing I’m addicted to right now is winning. You know? This bootleg cult arrogantly referred to as AA now supports a 5 percent success rate. My success rate is 100 percent. Do the math! One of their stupid mottos is ‘Don’t be special, be one of us.’ News flash: I am special and I will never be one of you. ‘Oh, we have to all sit in here and touch ourselves and frown.’ Well, you don’t look like you’re having a lot of fun. I’m going to hang out with these two smokin’ hotties and fly privately around the world. It might be lonely up here but I sure like the view.”

“I’m so tired of pretending like my life isn’t perfect and bitchin’ and just winning every second,” he continued. “I’m not perfect, and bitching and just delivering the goods at every f—ing turn. Because look what I’m dealing with, man — I’m dealing with fools and trolls. I’m dealing with soft targets.”

At one point he also refers to himself and the interviewer as “Vatican assassin warlocks.” At another point, Sheen seems to make a threat against unspecified attackers: “I’m done. It’s on. Bring it. As I say. I ain’t hiding. You know? And if you’re part of my family, I will love you violently. If you infiltrate and try to hurt my family, I will murder you violently.” The interviewer suggests that Sheen’s talking about “the info war,” and the actor agrees.

CBS, Warner Bros. and Sheen’s publicist all have no comment, for now. Men is set to resume production on Monday, with Sheen due on the set on Tuesday. Sheen was adamant that he was clean, but his comments towards Lorre (who also exec produces CBS hits The Big Bang Theory and Mike & Molly) do raise the question of how the network and studio will respond.

Later, TMZ claims it reached Sheen in the Bahamas, where he escalated his rhetoric against Lorre: “I violently hate Chaim Levine [Chuck Lorre]. He’s a stupid, stupid little man and a p—- punk that I’d never want to be like. That’s me being polite. That piece of s— took money out of my pocket, my family’s pocket, and, most importantly, my second family — my crew’s pocket. You can tell him one thing: I own him.” (Additional reporting by Kate Ward)

UPDATE: CBS and Warner Bros. Television issued a joint statement discontinuing production of Two and a Half Men for the rest of the season.

    You tell them Charlie

    • Watson

He’s right about AA. The rest, maybe not so much.

      • MicheBel

No, he’s not right about AA. He’s an out-of-control addict who’s in denial. AA says it’s a disease of the mind. Sheen is just proving their point.

      • sam

@MicheBel: Um, you’re either one of the many practicing alcoholics who have an unfortunate stigma attached to trying A.A. because you can’t stop drinking from will power alone and consider it weak to admit you need help or you don’t have a drinking problem but you’re simply talking out of your ass. Either way, you’re wrong. Obviously, there is no “cure-all”, but I know several people who would more than likely be dead right now if it wasn’t for A.A. – and no, I’m not in the program.

      • sam

Sorry MicheBel, that was meant for Watson.

      • joe

No, he is right about AA. It’s just a religious organization with an extremely low success rate. You know someone who got better with AA? fine… but likely they will get worse again because they didn’t solve the problem, just diverted blame. Can’t stop drinking from will power alone? BS.

      • Mac

Why oh why do Republicans looks up to this fool?

      • Terry

Actually I quit drinking 13 years ago with AA. It doesn’t have to be about religion, and while I rarely go to meetings anymore, I know where they are if I need one. It’s funny how you can read all the insanity that Sheen is spouting and take from it that he’s right about AA. All I can say is if it has helped more than one person(and it has) then leave it alone. There are no dues, you can kick in a buck for coffee if you want, but you don’t have to. And comparing it to a religious organization, I didn’t give then=m 10% of my money, but it would have been worth it. I actually feel sorry for Sheen. I have a feeling that this isn’t gonna end well.

      • Terry

Umm, Joe, take it from one who knows. AA is NOT about diverting blame. Just the opposite in fact. It is about taking responsibility for your actions and working on the behavior that leads you to drink.

      • Bert

I kind of agree with him when he says: “I’ve spent, I think, close to the last decade, I don’t know, effortlessly and magically converting your tin can into pure gold.”

      • Mouse

I was at a funeral recently for a man who was an AA sponsor (before any smart asses comment, it was not an alcohol-related death). At least 30 people his family had never met came and introduced themselves, saying they’d be dead right now if it wasn’t for him. I’m just saying.

      • Shannon Harrell

The people that I just left living happy drug free lives would disagree!

      • Ken

@Sam: No you are wrong. As a non drinker myself who comes from an alcoholic family AA is completely useless, that is why their success rate is only 5%. My Wife who was also an alcoholic, has been dry for almost a year and she did from sheer will power, not from the help of anyone else but myself and my support. Quitting anything comes from will power same as if you were a smoker who is trying to quit, can only happen with will power. AA is nothing but a cult to the point that not even the legal system recognizes them anymore. You go Charlie!!!!

      • CM

Wouldn’t be lonely up there Charlie if you were a real man as concerned with taking care of your kids as you are with doing coke with porn stars.

      • JPX

Millions of people join AA yet only thousands benefit from it. When you look at the math AA does not have a very good success rate. This is not to say that it can’t help some, but the program fails more than it helps.

      • troll

        Ken and Joe
How can you both be so ignorant? Quitting anything is obviously about will power, some people can do it on their own and some can’t, and for those who can’t, AA is a valuable resource to help them. 5% may seem like a small number, but consider that millions of people try it and that 5% is a lot of people. And for something to actually help people, even if its an insignificant number to you, how can you argue against it? Ill finish this by saying that I think Ken doesnt even have a wife and is actually butt budies with joe.

      • jaintn

AA has helped a lot of people, but I know of one individual who traded his drinking addiction for an addiction to AA, and not in a good way. Charlie Sheen needs someone to slap some sense into him. I’ve been a fan for a long time and I even tried to give him the benefit of the doubt with his latest shenanigans, but dude needs a wake up call. His father must be beside himself with worry, and don’t get me started on a man with 5 children acting like such a selfish tool!

      • for the love of god, charlie, shut up

No one knows accurate statistics of who succeeds or fails in AA because there is no “membership” required. People are free to come and go, take it or leave it, some “make” it, some don’t and go back to using or drinking. As Terry rightly stated above, it doesn’t have to be about religion, and it’s not about diverting responsibility. It is about taking personal responsibility for your behaviour and actions. AA helps, and as evidenced by Mr. Sheen, it’s addicts, alcoholics (and out of control egos) that are the problem — not the program. As for commenters on here bashing AA, as the saying goes, it’s usually out of “ignorance before investigation.” Don’t knock something that works for many people just because you don’t really understand it.

      • shellzandcheeze

Ken – That’s great that your wife quit for one year through will power. That doesn’t mean AA doesn’t work for many. A group to go to where there’s no judgement and acceptance does help many. Perhaps if you’d been to many meetings you’d understand that. Further, a year is great but, a lifetime is another thing. And, people need extra help at certain times when life hits them hard. You shouldn’t talk badly about the program just because it may not be for you.

      • Bill W

When you see someone putting down AA, there’s a good chance they attended meetings because of a court order. If you go to a meeting these days, half the people have court papers to sign. Their success rate is very low because they don’t want to be there in the first place.

      • tracy

@Ken: You’re right AA doesn’t “work” on it’s own, the addict has to work it. There’s no magic solution, no pill you can take to make it all go away. Your wife may have stopped drinking, but most likely she is simply a dry drunk now (having neglected the important work necessary to relieve the THIRST for alcohol through therapy and working the steps). And you, Ken, sound like the typical co-dependent spouse who thinks she can do it with only YOU for support or help. Because you and your love can *save* her right? I don’t say this with a mean spirit, I’m hurting for you. The truth that most people don’t get is: Quitting drinking is only the BEGINNING of the journey of getting sober. It’s the essential first thing an addict must do, but it is only the beginning of the work.

      • mike

watson is as big an ignorant imbecile as Sheen

      • bobbo

This is funny. One of those online companies that SELL their ‘cures’ for addiction came up with this ‘AA has only a 5% success rate’ myth and now it’s become a fact? It’s clearly not true and barely provable anyway, but never could be proven to a specific rate. There are variables- are you including first time attendees (many of whom are court-ordered and don’t actually want it?). Measuring complete, uninterrupted abstinence? Measuring long-term sobriety, which can be a process marked by an occasional relapse before someone ‘gets it’? By any REASONABLE standard, AA is the most successful method of treatment for alcoholism, PERIOD. Of course 12 Step Groups (of which AA is only one) don’t charge, unlike the for-profit places that spread this lie for their own gain. By the way, I don’t attend AA. I attend NA, which saved my life. 18 years clean. NA indeed DID do a membership survey which showed that the average member of NA has multiple years of clean time. My own anecdotal evidence, based on seeing 1000s of addicts, is that nowadays a 75% success rate is accurate (75% of those at a given time will be staying clean in a years’ time).

      • carlinism

I’m out of rehab and in denial and I have a love child that sends me hate mail!

    • LOL

      • John

I’m so glad Charlie had this outburst, just like I was glad when he had to go into rehab a few weeks back. Anything that helps that trashy piece of crap that is TAAHM get cancelled is great IMO.

Please cancel it already so that better shows can get saved.

      • LOL

They just pulled the plug on the show for the rest of the season according to Deadline.

      • JOE

        Charlie is right…

      • Allison

@John: You’re so right. I cannot understand this show’s success. I watched several episodes trying to find the funny and I did not laugh once. Holland Taylor is a treasure, but this show is utter crap.

    • Aunt Sassy

Yeah Charlie – you tell them and let the world know just how messed up you really are. Please keep calling in and making yourself look like an even bigger A$$ hole so that people will stop watching that stupid show that is paying you WAY too much money for. Let’s hope the “clown” and the higher-ups at the studio release this loser from his contract so he can self-destruct on his own time.

      • MWC

Dude! Don’t bite the hand that buys your coke.

      • Suzy

        Totally agree

      • JOE

Charlie wouldn’t be an addict without Mexicans bringing the $hit in… Deport illegal aliens and cut off the supply.

      • JL

To Joe: yeah, right, junkie. Stop the demand, and the offer will cease. Addicts are to blame for their own problems. Nobody’s an addict for someone else’s fault.

      • Missy

Couldn’t agree more! Keeping calling in Charlie. We all want to know how “right” you are!

    • Devin Faraci

That dude is idiotic. I certainly hope he dies soon.

      • Heidi

especially because the worst thing he can do is survive and make others think he’s right. I think of his kids and what a poor excuse for a father they have. He’s so selfish. He clearly cares little for them. So long as he could be with his ‘goddessess/prostitutes/porn stars’ he’s happy.
If I were Brooke I would have left too. Hopefully they can just skip Charlie and introduce their children (Denises’ and Brookes’) to their grandfather and uncle who will actually be good examples for those four young children as they grow up. Just cut Charlie out of their life quick.

      • darclyte

You probably shouldn’t wish that he would die. It’s not like he’s a genocidal dictator, murderer, pedophile or rapist. He’s an @$$hat. But, he has kids and should he turn his life around, there’s still time since he’s only 45, they could surely benefit from having him around. But wishing him to die? Bad karma there guy.

      • Ryan

That’s a bit over the top. Sheen is just a type of person, an a-hole, and that group is only the fifth group in the list of groups of people I would hope randomly die of malnutrition: rapists, murderers, bigots, millionaire conservatives who inherited their money yet don’t believe in hand-outs, and only then a-holes.

      • Dave R

Heidi, it’s probably best that the kids not get too close to granddad either – Martin Sheen supports a domestic ecoterrorist group called Sea Shepherd that likes to go out and ram fishing ships and throw acid at their crews.

      • Romario Blanc

You dont know the personal details of Charlie Sheen’s life. You dont know what he is going through. How dare you wish death upon him. Im sure there is alot more to this story than meets the eye. This is the media for crying out loud. Your not going to get the full story.

      • ouch

    • JJ

I love this guy. He speaks his mind and doesn’t give a f!ck who he p!sses off. He does suitcases full of coke and bangs porn stars. He’s livin the dream.

      • jack

The porn stars yeah, the suitcase full of coke, no thanks.

      • DC

A real talent there! Speaking your mind and pissing people off takes some real skill. He sounds like he is 18-years old, not a man with a wife and two kids. Grow up, loser!

      • ~~ July ~~

Actually DC .. it’s an ex wife and two kids with her plus 2 more with another ex wife and 1 20 something from an ex high school girlfriend.

      • Heidi

How would you like him for a parent though? Epic Fail

      • Jon

It would be possible for him to speak his mind if he had one.

      • John

Doing coke is banging porn stars is your life’s dream? What a sad loser.

      • asymmetry

More power to Charlie for having a spine and speaking his mind despite the fact that he’s biting the hand that feeds him. If more Americans were honest enough to do the same, this country wouldn’t have elected G.W.”monkeyface” Bush twice and we wouldn’t be trying to fight a losing war we provoked for a lie! Wake up America! We’re the ones in denial – not Charlie!

      • Publius

By “losing war” do you mean the war we won in Iraq? Hmm. You bring up freeing 25 million people from a murderous thug in a conversation about Charlie Sheen’s childish antics? Whatever.

      • To Publius:

The guy bringing up George Bush into this conversation is ridiculous but you saying “we won in Iraq” is even more so. Since when did we “win” the war? lmao

    • darclyte

I’d LOVE to see 2.5 Men replace Charlie with Emilio because THAT alone would be funny. Or John Stamos as he’s a contemporary who doesn’t need to resort to hookers and porn stars to land the hottest women in Hollywood.

      • RenaP

you hit it on the head. John Stamos would be great! (Emioilo would be funny – but John could really pull it off)

      • different tim

except charlie sheen is funny whereas john stamos comes off as an idiot. of course charlie comes off as an idiot.

      • Kiki

Ooh, Emilio Estevez is a really good actor…unlike Charlie. (No accident that Charlie kept his dad’s stage name — no way he’d have made it without that connection!)
Speaking of which, major hypocrisy for Carlos Estevez to mock Chuck Lorre for using a stage name…or was it simply an anti-semitic remark? Stupid and low either way…

    • Michael

Charlie Sheen could go on a murderous rampage and kill hundreds of people, and I feel like the general public would let it slide. Seriously, this man needs to be kept behind closed doors.

      • CMD

The fact of the matter is that you are completely right. He could do exactly what you said and his show would still be number 4 in the ratings. The problem isn’t Charlie Sheen, the problem is the 15.5 million people that tune into his crappy @#$ show every week. They obviously don’t care that he beats women, is a huge megalomaniac, and does massive amounts of coke. The networks only care about you if you are making them money and the only way they make money is if people watch the show. The man is the highest paid person on tv for a reason. the real question is why are people still watching someone so vile and stupid. If it was anyone else the show would have been canceled ages ago. What does that say about Americans? How can the let this kind of behavior slide?

      • L.T.

He just doesn’t get it does he? Money doesn’t buy you dignity!

    • Carlos

@Nando; Charlie’s reckless behavior will cause him to end up in a cemetery by year’s end. This guy has a death wish.

    • Leslie

Unbelievable the people in this country made you rich by watching television programs and this is how you repay them and the company that fed you if I was the company you would have been gone there are actors that can play you and be a respectable role model you frickin idiot haven’t you heard the statement what goes up must come down the viewers are very upset at you we pay you by watching I for one will not watch anymore until you are replaced be real adict or not you are disposable whether you believe or not money comes and goes and yours should go like your family then and maybe then you will see what you caused by not remaining clean

    • not a fan

two and a half men lost it’s charm a while ago once charlie sheen’s selfish, narcisstic behavior got out of control. i have no desire to ever see him on anything again. he thinks only of himself and his own pleasure. did he think of his second family or his first family while ruining this show?

      • Deb

I totally agree with Charlie being selfish. He’s hurting his family and the other actors on the show. It’s totally unfair to him. He obviously was being overpaid. Maybe they should cut his salary in half instead and let him stay as long as he is shutting his mouth and doing his job in the future.

    • L.T.

Mark Harris, Please take note! Don’t you think this is EXACTLY the reason where people like Ricky Gervais poke fun at them! Do you think now that Ricky Gervais was overstepping the mark? Au contraire he is ON THE MONEY!
How ridiculous is Charlie Sheen now?

    • Rush

Wow, Sheen does Mel Gibson better than Mel.

      • pc

that is exactly what I was thinking

    • maudieTipton

Charlie Sheen is the man he lives life his way!!!

  • LogopolisMike

Even as somebody who agrees with him (in part) about AA and thinks he has every right to drug himself to death if wants, Sheen is making it incredibly hard to even support him a tiny, little bit.

    • gataroo

I totally agree. I really want to root for him, but he is making it hard. He needs serious help. Or he needs to STFU and move to Vegas and drink and drug himself to death away from cameras. I am just tired of watching him spiral downward.

    • Diane

If Charlie wants to drug himself to death or die of an STD it’s his business. But it’s hard to watch him knowing that he’s moved into a state of total delusion.

    • ALM

I’d agree with the “if he wants to drug himself to death” etc. part–if there weren’t four kids under the age of 7 involved. I used to think Denise Richards was a bitter dingbat ex-wife with issues; now I realize she was right all along. Denise, I’m sorry.

      • Krayv

At some point in her life Denise Richards looked at Charlie Sheen and said “Yes, this is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with”
Let’s not give her too much credit.

  • sheen sucks

Can’t he just shut up and go away?

    • libby_29

I think all of u need to get a life who cares what he does none of u make that kinda money and thats what gets you so worked up because he can doing the sh#t we wish we could and most if not all of u watch the f@#kin show so get over it losers

  • Denny

The man has completely lost it. I’d be surprised if he even has two and a 1/2 brain cells to rub together these days.

    • gataroo

At least when Kiefer goes on benders it’s funny, Charlie is just sad

      • Mole

Kiefer can at least work an apology pretty well.

  • Nathaniel

    What a charming man.

    • Eww

He’s so classless. I would laugh so hard if they fired him. Then he can go work his amazing thespian magic on some other show and make it a rip-roaring success I’m sure.

      • lizzieborden

My thoughts exactly! He has zero class, is a misogynist, and is completely delusional about his acting talents. Trust me, Charlie, you are so replaceable.

    • jades1

      He sounds nice….

      • nyuk

Why don’t they just lock him in a cell with Lindsay Lohan and let them self distruct together with nobody watching? They seem like a perfect couple.

      • Shawn

@nyuk – I like that idea. Call Bravo, I think we have a hit on our hands.

  • Am I drunk right now?

I don’t even understand what he’s saying for most of this.

    • Jenn

Yeah, I feel like I dreamed reading this post.

      • psyche

Agreed. Reading those quotes word-for-word is trippy!

      • Heidi

Lets get William Shatner to cut an album using the words of Charlie Sheen.

      • Wasabi

LOL, Heidi, that would be the latest YouTube hit

      • nick

Heidi That is a great idea. I hope W.S. is on board!

    • Steph

I’d like to hear more about the Vatican Warlocks.

  • Bee

    such a hot mess.

    • nyuk

Why don’t they just lock him in a cell with Lindsay Lohan and let them self distruct together with nobody watching? They seem like a perfect couple.

  • A.F. for EW

Why is anyone even interested in what this junkie has to say anyway? WHO CARES?!?

    • JJ

Because he’s doing everything we would do if we had the money that he has.

      • J.Taylor

      • Heidi

        Sad for you JJ

      • RenaP

speak for yourself JJ. there’s lots of people that have much more money than Charlie Sheen and yet they are happy being normal.

      • Al

@JJ You can do drugs and sleep with prostitutes if you want. You don’t need a lot of money to be a junkie.

      • Nona

@JJ .So lack of funds is the only thing stopping you from being a total piece of crap?

      • Kiki

Drugs and prostitutes don’t have to cost what Charlie pays. I’m sure you can live the life of your dreams at your own income level.

  • Mel

He’s starting to come off as delusional. It’s hard to tell if he’s in extreme denial, mentally unstable or just a d-bag.

    • s

I think it’s all three. This is a massive train wreck waiting to happen and the scary part is that there is nothing the people who care about him can do about it. He has the right to destroy himself if he wants to. At this point it’s just a matter of when and how bad.

    • kaydevo

      • Sarah

        My thoughts exactly.

    • Redvector

How about all of the above.

    • Ktct

i think he’s been hanging with Randy Quiad.

      • Donna

Do you think Randy and his airhead bride smuggled mushrooms into Canada?

  • Erin

    This is just pathetic.

    • Marissa

Insanely pathetic. Come on, man, you have five kids…five!!! I think it’s about time to start acting like an adult.

  • Pam

All of those drugs have made his mind mush.

  • kross

Why anyone watches any show that this buffoon is on I will never know. You are just supporting an egotistical, womanizin pig in denial. His dad should be so proud of him!

    • Mel

I think that’s what’s most sad about this, Martin Sheen is constantly trying to get help for him and Charlie continues to act like this.

Martin Sheen has been trying to become Charlie’s legal guardian so he can force Charlie to get help.

Even if Martin succeeds it won’t work unless Charlie wants it. I’ve never heard somoone LESS interested.
The best thing Martin can do is open his home and heart to all his grandchildren and take credit for paternity. Help take on parenting them as though they were his own, so the kids never have to feel an ounce of rejection from their bio father.
Could not have LESS respect for Charlie Sheen. I only wanted him to get clean for his children but now I’m fine to let him do as he pleases until he dies. We won’t have long to wait.

One of the problems with addiction is the people who would offer you help (your family) are so often part of the problem. Charlie Sheen grew up in an addictive family system and Martin Sheen is part of that system. It’s really hard to accept “help” from parents who, on some level, failed to protect you from their own vices. Martin is in the program, and ostensibly he is recovering, but it was obviously too late to spare Charlie the trauma that led him to this horrible place. Good luck to them both, my heart goes out to them.

Don’t blame Martin Sheen for Charlie’s downward spiral, Tracy. Charlie Sheen is in his late 40s/early 50s. He’s an adult and he’s been responsible for his own mess for a long time.

@bootsycolumbia: I completely agree that Charlie is responsible for his own actions. I’m just saying that, most likely, Martin’s own alcoholism was formative and impactful for his family and therefor helped to create the addict in his child. I’m betting that Martin, because he’s in recovery, would agree with me. Charlie is fully responsible for his actions as an adult. However, true healing comes from *understanding* the addictive family system and the traumas that most likely led the child to grow into an adult addict.

Charlie Sheen is back to #1 with a bullet on my celebrity death watch list.
