Image Credit: Showtime (2)Showtime announced today that it has picked up Shameless, the gritty family drama starring William H. Macy, for a 12-episode second season; the meta-comedy Episodes (starring Matt LeBlanc as Matt LeBlanc) also received a second season order for an undetermined number of episodes. Shameless is averaging 4 million viewers a week (across the various Showtime platforms); Episodes is landing around 2 million per week. Both shows will begin production on their second seasons later this year.

‘Episodes’ is a horrible show. It’s just Showtime’s version of ‘Curb your Enthusiasm’, but with Matt Leblanc in place of Larry David. I think Leblanc has said “How you doin’?” more times on Episodes in one season then he did throughout the entire ‘Friends’ run. I expected more from an awesome network like Showtime…
Curb is fantastic, and Episodes is nothing like it.
So wrong. Episodes is not even remotely similar to Curbs. Both are great in their own ways.
Also, I don’t know what show you’re watching, but Matt rarely has referenced the Friends’ catchphrase except in an ironic sense, and even then, it is not as often as you’ve implied. Have you watched past the first episode?!

I liked Episodes very much, not being American or living there; I liked the British side of the show, the fish out of water aspect, I related to the couple more, and I thought Matt LeBlanc just chewed up the screen, he was great, zoomed up in my estimation! looking forward to another season!
Shameless is the best new show of the year, in my opinion, and I had little doubt that it would be renewed.
Episodes is a different matter, though, since the ratings weren’t great. I’m glad it’s returning. It started out slow but the characters really grew on me.
Shameless isn’t a new show, it just finished its seventh series (the Showtime one is a knock-off of an active british series).

Episodes is a horrible show. Those Brit twits are awful and not funny at all. Shameless is a great show good for them.
Both of these shows suck. Showtime is getting as bad as HBO now.

I love Episodes too! A sweet little show that’s like Entourage-lite. Tamsin Grieg is awesome. in particular.
We LOVED Episodes! Matt Leblanc does an outstanding job! His role was very original—who do you turn to for ideas on a send-up of yourself, but played a bit selfishly, with a lot of fun and great timing and lines (his perfume, “Joey.” with the marketing slogan “How’re YOU smellin’?—genius). The Brits, all of them–Brilliant. That Hollywood producer, and especially is gorgeous “I’ll do what it takes to succeed” assistant Carol, are gems. The writing, timing, acting, and intimacy in this show are perfect. Go Joey! More Episodes—and soon! Please!
I completely agree. I loved Episodes…it’s genuine and funny. Shameless is pretty good but Episodes was hilarious. Matt Leblanc, you are doing great brother. Keep it up! We support you.
Job Fit is another FAS jobs scam stielang jobs from the community & returning nothing,FAS have been responsible for robbing the community(the unemployed they proport to help) of full time paid tax returnable jobs for years,while draining one billion out of our community,they have no respect for any community they enter and provide their own brand of employment which sucks what could have been full time jobs out of the community.Further consigning those on the poverty line to a lifetime of further poverty.They have had a system in place whereby,if you got hired as an apprentice or a ce worker,you would not be put in a position of employment,yet they reffered to themselves an employment agency.FAS (or faux jobs) had a habit of replacing full time posts with free labour posts,why do multi national businesses and local businesses need subsidising from agnecies like FAS and JOBFIT,obviously you could argue that this is cost effective for the company involved,but how is this cost effective for the government,if thier is no tax returns?Jobfit look set to replace FAS,but some of these FAS officiaries will be on the jobfit board,roll on the junkets,paul o toole who was minister for tourism and failed to bring in tourists even in the fake celtic boom got to sit in on FAS>?Cronyism of the highest order!Shut this quango down,no rebranding or shuffling money elsewhere THEY ARE ROBBING JOBS FROM THE UNEMPLOYED AND THESE UNEDUCATED MASSES ARE BEING LIED TO AND MADE A FOOL OF!
Both are great shows. Episodes just needed about 2 weeks to warm up. I would bet that most people on here saying it sucked gave up on it after the premier.
LOVE EPISODES! I really care about all the characters and am totally caught up in their stories. It always amazes me how mean and ugly some of the comments can be. It’s a tv show people it’s not Al Queda.
