The program will follow Barr as she runs a 40-acre nut farm on Hawaii’s Big Island along with her writer-musician boyfriend Johnny Argent and her son, Jake. She “uses a take-no-prisoners approach in shaping a Utopian dream for herself and her loved ones,” promises the release.

“I’m coming back down to earth, and keeping it real,” Barr said in a statement. “They’ve said ‘Roseanne’s nuts’ for years, and now I’m going to make that a reality — I’m all about nuts now, macadamia nuts!” READ FULL STORY »

Charlie Sheen: 'We're on forced hiatus'

charlie-sheenImage Credit: Dan MacMedan/WireImage.comCharlie Sheen is ready to go back to work on his CBS show. Well, at least according to Charlie Sheen. The actor called into The Dan Patrick Show this morning, saying, among other things, that he was clean and ready for production to start up again.

“We are on forced hiatus. They said, ‘You get ready and we’ll get ready.’ And I got ready and went back and nobody’s there,” he said, joking that he’d gone to set and banged on the door. “I’m here and I’m ready. They’re not. Bring it, you know?” READ FULL STORY »

Former Law & Order regular Jesse Martin has landed a part in Marc Cherry’s ABC pilot Hallelujah.

Martin played Det. Ed Green on the NBC series for nearly a decade, and has now been cast in an ambitious pilot from the creator of Desperate Housewives.

The logline: When the Tennessee town of Hallelujah finds itself being torn apart by forces of good and evil, a stranger arrives to bring justice and peace, and to quite possibly restore the faith in the world that the residents so desperately need. The episodes will be punctuated by songs sung by the gospel choir, which serves as a sort of Greek chorus.

Grammy audience biggest in a decade

Cee-Lo-and-Gwenyth-PaltrowImage Credit: Image Credit: Cliff Lipson/CBSSunday’s 53rd annual Grammys were full of surprise awards (Esperanza Spalding?) and terrific performances (Cee Lo Green singing his “F**k You” song with puppets, a slinky Gwyneth Paltrow, and a rocket ship… in a performance that somehow worked).

But the show’s ratings deliver yet another shock: According to CBS, the telecast drew 26.7 million viewers and a 10.0 adults 18-49 rating from 8 to 11:30 p.m.

That’s up very slightly from 2010 and marks the show’s biggest adult demo number since 2004 and the largest audience for the show since at least 2001.

'Survivor: Redemption Island': Russell admits 'my personal game sucks' -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

The fun of watching Boston Rob Mariano and Russell Hantz interact in our joint interview the day before Survivor: Redemption Island began filming is that they’re a lot like James Bond and an arch-enemy just before a shoot-out. They both know they’re gunning for each other, but act as polite as can be hoping they can fool the other into thinking otherwise. Just check out part 3 of the exclusive on-location chat and see for yourself as the two returning players try to convince each other that they’re both down with forming an alliance. Surrrrrrrrrrre you are. Whatever you say, buddy! Also of interest: Russell actually making the somewhat startling admission that “My personal game sucks.” Really? You don’t say? “When I vote them out I not only cut them, I rub salt in their wounds.” Well, that might have something to do with it. Watch part 3 of the 4-part interview after the jump below, and if you missed parts 1 (which includes the first blindside of the season!) and 2, you can stay tuned to watch those as well. And then check back Tuesday for part 4, where Rob tells Russell what will happen if he burns his socks. (For more Survivor news and views, follow me on Twitter @EWDaltonRoss.) READ FULL STORY »

$#*! your TV guide says.

Networks have recently greenlit a trio of pilots in contention for fall that share an unusual trait — family unfriendly titles.

ABC has ordered Good Christian Bitches with Sex and the City writer Darren Star, about a reformed “mean girl” who returns home to Dallas, only to find that some of her former high school classmates have remained unforgiving.

The network also approved Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23, starring Krysten Ritter, a comedy about an innocent Midwestern girl who ends up with a wild roommate from hell in New York City. READ FULL STORY »

'Bones' scoop: Details on where Brennan and Booth go from here, when the sniper returns, and an episode unlike any we've seen before

Categories: Bones, Television, TV Scoop

Bones-Bikini-Soup-guns_510.jpg Image Credit: Ray Mickshaw/Fox Bones exec producer Stephen Nathan is not afraid to admit that he welled up while cutting the final two scenes of last night’s episode of the Fox drama, which he considers David Boreanaz’s best work of the six-season-old series. (Watch clips of them below.) He says producers wanted to put Booth (Boreanaz) in a more difficult place following Hannah’s rejection of his marriage proposal than he was before (when he was just reeling from the rejection of Emily Deschanel’s Brennan followed by her finally admitting her feelings when he’d moved on). They succeeded.  READ FULL STORY »
