'Shark Tank' returns, here's the trailer -- EXCLUSIVE

Categories: Television, TV Biz

Love this show. ABC’s Shark Tank can be cruel, yes, but the series turns everyday people into success stories quicker than any series on TV. Based on the also-great UK hit Dragon’s Den, Shark Tank takes starry-eyed entrepreneurs and gives them a cold dose of business reality. You’re not rewarded for voting people off the island, wooing a bachelor, or kissing up to Donald Trump, but on whether your ideas could actually survive in the real world. And for season two, there are celebrity guest Sharks (Jeff Foxworthy, Mark Cuban). Here’s an exclusive first look at the March 25 return of the Tank:

'Glee' Super Bowl ratings are in! Biggest scripted TV telecast in three years, but...

Did Glee score a ratings touchdown after the big game?

Depends how you look at the numbers.

Despite plenty of promotion and that sports-fan-friendly opening performance to “California Gurls,” Glee was down 31 percent from Undercover Boss, which CBS premiered after last year’s game.

Glee was seen by 26.8 million viewers and had an 11.1 adults 18-49 rating. This ranks as the highest-rated Glee episode ever (which you probably figured) and is the top-rated scripted telecast of any TV show in three years (which is rather great). It’s about double the number of the show’s Madonna episode, for instance. Though Glee just barely edged out the previous scripted show to follow the Super Bowl, NBC’s The Office, two years ago. (Read Ken Tucker and Breia Brissey’s recaps of the episode here and here.) READ FULL STORY »

terra-novaFox gave Super Bowl viewers this first look at its upcoming Steven Spielberg-produced action-adventure-dinotastic drama series Terra Nova (here’s our take on the extended trailer the network showed critics in January). It’s a big primetime bet that the network will launch with a two-night preview in May, with the rest of the season picking up in the fall. The fierce dino at the end, I believe, is a Carnotaurus … or is it an Avatarasaurus? Here’s the trailer: READ FULL STORY »

Amanda Knox stars Hayden Panettiere as the title character; both Knox and Sollecito still maintain their innocence. Lifetime is not commenting on the matter.
