Charlie Sheen’s interviews continue to draw big ratings. ABC’s chat with the actor on 20/20 evening gave the broadcaster its biggest 10 p.m., hour-long program rating in that Tuesday night slot in two years.
20/20 was watched by 9.3 million viewers and drew a 3.2 preliminary adults 18-49 rating, and was ranked as one of the night’s highest-rated shows, easily winning its hour.
Fox won the evening overall with American Idol (21.3 million, 7.5) shifting back to its former Tuesday perch. Idol also fueled an episode of Raising Hope (8.8 million, 3.4) to a season high.
CBS ranked second but took a mild hit with the increased competition from Idol: NCIS (19.2 million, 3.8) and NCIS: LA (15.6 million, 3.2) were down, while The Good Wife (11.3 million, 2.2) climbed 10 percent.
NBC’s The Biggest Loser (7 million, 2.4) hit a season-low, and was followed by Parenthood (5 million, 1.9).
Despite the success of 20/20, ABC finished in fourth place. Lucy Lawless guest starring on No Ordinary Family (4.3 million, 1.2) couldn’t help the show against juggernaut Idol. The superhero drama fell to an all-time low. V (5 million, 1.8) took a tiny dent.
The CW had One Tree Hill (1.6 million, 0.8) and Hellcats (1.5 million, 0.6).

Was Charlie “El Coco Loco” Sheen’s interview opposite reruns of his own show? Seems kind of douchy for ABC to drag down CBS’s ratings with a CBS actor, albeit a crazy one. There are a lot of vultures reasing on Sheen’s nuttiness, but I’m convinced ABC is as greasy and cheesy as those two skank “Goddesses” that Charlie pals around with.
Did you stop to think that maybe the CBS affiliate had no intention of giving this nutjob a forum for the craziness that spills out of his mouth every time he opens it? Don’t think it has anything to do with being “douchy”.
Charlie Sheen will be dead by the year’s end. The guy’s behavior is that of someone on a death wish. Is this guy suffering from a mental health disorder?

Overindulged celebrity’s meltdown in progress but all you can do is let it play out… and thank God you can look in the mirror and know you are blessed, have ability to make good choices, and have the health and mind to handle and cope with what befalls you. This guy sure does not. But we need not make him this week’s starry sideshow. He has had too many breaks and if he fails to realize that, well…

The media needs to stop interviewing this guy, enough already. He doesn’t belong in the spotlight. I don’t get the fascination!
Gosh this is sad:( I have grown up watching Charlie Sheen, slowly deteriorate, although I never thought he would reach such a trashy level and publically at that. And what is scary is his erratic behavior is so driven by his anger and raw emotions, that it could turn out dangerous for him and those around him.
Those people watching Charlie Sheen’s public melt:down missed an absolute jewel, Parenthood.
