Charlie Sheen on 'Today': 'At this moment, I do not know where my children are.'

In another Today interview, Charlie Sheen confirmed to NBC’s Jeff Rossen that police came to his house last night, just as his two twin sons were being put to sleep, and removed them from his house, fulfilling a court order that the boys’ mother, Brooke Mueller, had attained yesterday, claiming Sheen’s home was not a proper environment for children. Sheen was composed, but admitted “At this moment, I do not know where my children are.”

Sheen denied charges that he had recently threatened Mueller’s life, and invited anyone to observe his unorthodox homelife to assure that it’s a safe and loving environment for his kids. “There’s nothing to hide,” he said. “There’s nothing but love and compassion and absolute support for these amazing children.” The entire interview is after the jump.

Since a restraining order prevents Sheen from coming within 100 feet of Mueller and his sons, he accepted Rossen’s offer to address his estranged wife through the camera: “Brooke, I’m sorry that you felt this had to be done in this way, but this does not display any responsible parenting in anything that I’m familiar with. I think that cooler and smarter and leveler heads can prevail, and I urge you to reach out to me immediately, if not sooner, and tell me where our sons are.”

Sheen’s lawyer, Mark Gross, revealed that he wouldn’t be arguing Sheen’s case in court today, but he expected to respond later this week. Meanwhile, Sheen promised to fight for the return of his children: “If anybody thought my focus was directed in a radical capacity [before], that’s going to seem like child’s play.”

    He needs severe mental therapy.

    • RR

No he doesn’t. He just got f!ucked over by his ex.

      • Bjork’sSwanDress

        I would prescribe severe pharmaceuticals.

      • bob

        Team Charlie!!! LOVE IT!!!

      • Heidi

Its interesting that he calls his boys ‘two young men’. My first thought was two and a half men – you can guess who the half man is. I do feel for him though, that had to have been a shock. Maybe what he needed.

  • me

Dude, wake up! There are consequences for your actions.

    • Mat

what actions ? what did he do ? media invaded his privacy

      • Really?

Invaded his privacy?!?! No one is forcing him to go and have interviews DAILY with different medis outlets. He invites the media into his home and he has to deal the consequences of being a media w*ore!

      • Lauri

The media invaded his privacy? Are YOU on crack too?? He has been running from one interview to the next for a week, inviting them into his home, and you think the media is stalking HIM? You’re out of your mind!

      • Mitch Logan

Everyone who does an interview should have their children taken away.

      • Amy

How about drug use in the home you raise your kids in?

  • TigerBlood Warlock

Kind of understanding that it happened. But Chuck still rules

  • TQB

I’m only confused about one thing – didn’t Mueller take Sheen up on his offer to move her into his neighborhood like last week? At what point does she get to face the consequences of her bad (money grubbing) decisions that affect the safety of her children?

    • pitt

Right?!? Though she has quite the drug-ridden, crazy past as well, so it’s sadly no surprise. Poor kiddos (not literally, but figuratively…). It’s just really a shame.

  • I

    Holy Hell… just stop already!

    • toonaspie

      This

  • Joe

This is one of the worst public meltdowns I’ve ever seen. He’s as crazy now as he was at the end of Platoon.

    • Lily

Yup. Keep those children as far away from him as possible, for now, while he’s in meltdown. Dude needs serious rehab.

      • yummycupcake

the mother isn’t much better either. why would she leave her kids with that man in the first place? terrible parents, i feel sorry for their kids.

  • Rush

I think it would be safe to presume that the kids are with their mother in a more stable environment than being raised by pornstars in Carlos Estivez’s house.

  • Kate

I also believe this is the worst celebrity public meltdown EVER! Way worse than Britney’s or anything Lohan, Hilton or any other celeb that I can remember. Seriously, someone needs to get that man some help fast

    • It’s a fact

WINNER!!! – and yet such a loser.

    • John R.

      He’s in Tom Cruise territory.

      • Danielle

Huh? Tom Cruise was NEVER like this. Sure, he’s weird and all that, but, this is a meltdown unlike anything Tom Cruise went through.

      • harry

        Very true Danielle

      • Juneau

        Try Mel Gibson territory.

      • No…

He whizzed past Gibson a LONG time ago.

      • Anna

Tom Cruise jumped on a couch; Charlie has a history of abusing women.

  • not manic

Ahh Chuckleshead, with all your superpowers, can you not close your eyes and make it so? BTW, coke is not a substitute for LITHIUM. Which you so obviously need.

    • sfday

      He’s so clearly manic!

  • David

Please stop reporting on Charlie Sheen…

    • Holly

      My thoughts exactly!

  • Bob

You can’t say in an interview that there are many places for drugs to hide in your house when you have young children living there.

  • Jay

I’m in your corner, Charlie… go get ‘em.

    • Anna

You are on the side of a man who has struck, threatened and even shot women. What a man you are.

  • anna

    stop giving him attention!

  • Jimi

If you care so much about your kids, Charlie, then get your life in order. It’s time to seek some help.

  • Erin

Yeah, because Charlie knows a lot about responsible parenting.
