For those Off the Map fans, don’t fear for the cast’s safety after the tsunami threats: Since the show has already wrapped production for the season, no one in the cast — Martin Henderson, Caroline Dhavernas, Mamie Gummer, Jason George, Rachelle Lefevre, and Zach Gilford — is in harm’s way.

Stuid show, don’t care if they get wet.
that would be just matty saracen’s luck
Love the show! Good clean entertainment.
Oh, thank God. There are potentially thousands of people dead in Japan but thank the Lord that the cast of this show that was never really in any serious danger are all fine. *eyeroll*
Meredith, you took the words right out of my mouth! Hoping that no actors were harmed during the announcement. *major eyeroll*
In case you didn’t notice, this is an ENTERTAINMENT WEBSITE.
Yes, this non-story is utterly ridiculous.
Well said Meredith. Entertainment website or not, bigger things are happening that matter more than a crappy show being able to film.
Sadly, this is just the start. Watch out for every entertainment show treating “Hawaii Five-O” at risk being as huge a story as the death toll in Japan.
ENTERTAINMENT websites talking about ENTERTAINMENT? THIS IS MADNESS. PURE MADNESS.
It’s not that it isn’t entertainment, it’s that SOME people being okay is a non-story.
Not because they’re actors, they’re PEOPLE too. And note, this is a fricking ENTERTAINMENT website, not NEWS. Use your heads.
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY.
ITA.
I get that this is an entertainment site but even as entertainment stories go, this is silly. They’re not even there. The show isn’t filming right now. I could see if it was something like “tsunami hits live set of Off the Map but all cast and crew reported as safe.” That would at least make sense. This story is more like “actors not currently in Hawaii are safe from the tsunami in Hawaii.” Seems like a pretty big non-issue to require a Twitter headline on a day when there is so much more important stuff going on. There are people in the entertainment industry mobilizing for relief efforts. Why not bring some attention to that? Just saying. I mean, it’s not like any of us are looking to EW for our up to the minute disaster reports.
Could not agree more!
