They dissed Barack and Michelle by not inviting them to the wedding. I’m boycotting anything to do with this dog and pony show. Sorry, TLC. No ratings bump from me.

    • JG

Really? You decide that based on a non-invitation to the Obama’s? LOL

    • Brett

It’s a wedding. Not a political function. They have no connection and no need to invite the Obamas, considering the Obamas have never even reached out to them prior. get off your stupid American high horse.

      • Jennifer

You’re mad that two people you’ve never met did not invite two other people you’ve never met to their wedding? Loser.

    • Carrie

GASP! They didn’t invite me, either! HOW DARE THEY! BOYCOTT!

    • JoeC

How is something as frivilous as a fancy wedding anything BUT a “dog and pony show?” They should really cancel the ceremony and a reception and hold political debates instead.

    • Jane

That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard.

    • anyc

I didn’t realize that Michelle and Barack were friends of William and Catherine? Have they even met? No other heads of state are invited to the wedding – only friends and family. Get over yourself.

  • Lassie and Mr. Ed

Personaly, we’d rather watch a dog and pony show.

personally I am going to be glued to my tv that whole week. that Friday morning I will be up drinking tea and eating scones getting my royal wedding on. And I know that I won’t be alone. US TV channels and magazines are filled with stories of the wedding because plenty pf Americans, like myself, are eating it all up with a spoon! Think of how many people watched Diana’s funeral or watched her wedding to Charles – those same people, myself included, feel invested in William’s happiness and are truly happy for the couple and lets face it the masses also love a good wedding. It doesn’t seem to have relevancy to our daily lives in America but to me neither do the Kardashian sisters, Real Housewives, Charlie Sheen and half the pop culture that is out there rotting our brains. So bring on the royal wedding programming. bring it!

Im with anyc….I will be glued to the the tv the whole week. I could really care less about the Obamas being snubbed, as stated by prvious replies, no other heads of state are invited. I have however, enjoyed watching about Prince William and Prince Harry’s lives. It seems like that once Diana died the whole world became miniature god-parents…..

  • Adam Miller

I personly can’t wait to see prince williams weeding since my cousin is part of the royal guard

    • J Clarke

      What is a weeding? J.C.

  • Nancy Heidt

I am so happy for William and Catherine and I can’t wait to watch them get married. This is so special I can’t believe anyone would want to boycott their wedding. I plan to have a party that day and have my finest china and crystal out serving wedding cake and English Tea and crumpets and some other wonderful English fare. This is too good to miss.

30 years ago my sister and I got up at 2 something in the morning and watched the coverage of Dianas wedding, and I watched Dianas funeral, and yes I plan to be in front of my tv watching Prince Williams wedding.I live in San Diego and could care less if the Obamas are there or not . This isnt about them.

Thanks for letting us all share the experience….

It is likely that William will someday be king of England. What kind of king will he be if he doesn’t understand that huge social functions always include important heads of state? This is NOT a small family wedding — it is an international spectacle –is this the end of the alliance between Great Britain and the United States? You have to ask what message the UK is sending by not inviting the Obamas.

  • SSMcDonald

The Queen herself made the decision to exclude the Obamas. Her public reason is that she did not want the Obmams overshadowing the couple being married. My learned observation is that the 5th column media would slant the wedding coverage so as to include the Obamas and how they are reacting to all the pageantry. Of course, the fact that since his inauguration, Obama has been openly and unceasingly rude and denigrating to the UK leadership probably holds valid credence as to why the Obamas are persona non grata in UK.

  • Ilene Richman

Obama gave back the bust of Churchill to the UK. How rude! The bust does not even belong to him. It belongs to the White House. So why would the Queen (an Anti-Semite) invite the Obamas? The
Queen only visits Arab countries and invites Arabs to the wedding.

  • DD

I think they are correct innot inviting them to their wedding. The attention should be focused on the couple and the Obama’s do not know how to behave at these types of affairs.

Marriage is a blessing and all the best to the Prince and his wife to be. Am not a TV person and anyways, I don’t know much about this English Royal family. All I know is that the English didn’t treat us like human beings when they colonized my country. Well, they have the privilege even at the expense of others. Anyways, those that are interested will watch the wedding.
