Opposite some reruns, Glee easily ranked as the highest-rated program for the night in adults 18-49 and teens, according to early returns for Tuesday. The episode featuring guest star Kathy Griffin posted a 4.0 rating/13 share and 10.7 million viewers. (For Ken Tucker’s unfettered take, click here.) Raising Hope posted a 2.5/7 and 6.2 million, followed by Traffic Light (1.6/5, 3.9 million).
Overall, Fox finished in first place among 18-49 (3.0/9). CBS, meanwhile, attracted the most viewers (10.8 million).
Can we say a prayer for V now? Already hobbled by a repeat of No Ordinary Family as the lead-in, the drama’s second season finale only posted a 1.8/5 in 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers. That’s up 6 percent from last week, but down 14 percent from last year’s finale on May 18. The writing is on the wall for this series (for more, check out our scorecard here), but it’s always a shame when high-concept projects like this one seem destined for the junk pile. And V’s performance spelled more bad news for Detroit 1-8-7: This respectable, quality drama earned a tiny 1.3/4 and 5.8 million viewers.
The Biggest Loser posted a 2.7/8 — down 7 percent from last week — and 7.9 million viewers. The CW, like CBS, was also in repeats.

Each week it’s the same story, “V is up X% from the previous week and ABC will still cancel it”.
The ratings keep going up, yet the expectation continues to be the same.
Probably because the show isn’t very good. The characters are wooden, the action seems thrown in and stories are not coherent.
I mean, come on,Stealing the soul? Taking people’s DNA and mixing it with others to create a super being?

What about it?
Those are perfectly sound concepts for a science fiction show to explore.
Kathy Griffin Wins?
She was on for 3 lame lines that were not even funny as bitting commentary. This was about Kurt and the Original songs it had nothing to do with the USE UP has been of a comedian. I am glad I didn’t know this was the episode she would be on, I might have skipped it like I did the episode of the defenders that had her.. Her one purpose in life is to keep Joan Rivers from being the most annoying person in the world.
V has been steadily improving in season 2. Its never going to be a #1 show (mostly because of the genre) but I hope to see it again in the Fall

NBC should pick up V if ABC drops it. They should also bring back the Gong Show with Gary Busey as the host.

Please, Raising Hope is so much funnier than Modern Family, plus the acting is better and there are no dumb cut-away confessionals to deal with. More people need to watch Raising Hope!

Agreed. Glee was once quite good (during its initial 13 episodes that aired in 2009), but since then, the show has become way too self-indulgent and bought into its own hype. Such a waste.

So glad to see Erica’s annoying son bite the dust on V; dude, how do you not notice retractable prehensile razor sharp shark teeth coming at you? Sorry to see Morris Chestnut go but he’s one of the lucky ones to get the hell of the sinking V ship. Was glad to see Marc Singer but just wish the rebels had been less clueless this season. Also glad to see Semi-Sylvestor Stallone is gone, got real tired of the double crossing irishman this season.
After that AMAZING finale (and cliffhanger), ABC should be prosecuted if they cancel V. It would be truly criminal.
If they cancel V, whatever they replace it with will likely not get better ratings anyway. So they may as well just give it another season to wrap up the story.
The “V” showrunners must have thought that killing lots of people that we never really got to know, to be shocking. It wasn’t. It stunk and they leave the show which most likely won’t be back next year so as the cliffhanger stands, the V’s won. Wow. Unbelievable let down.
I hear they’ll be replacing V with a follow-up show. It will be called W.

What a squandered idea. They should have continued after the miniseries.
Biggest mistake was bring a great character like Diana and keeping her in a dungeon for 10 episodes.
Glee was actually down from recent weeks, but you never hear that from this site.

Canceling V would be a mercy killing. The show is unwatchable.

Such a shame about Detroit 187. At least I got to enjoy one great season.
Don’t understand all the negativity about V. It’s not the world’s greatest TV program but it’s an enjoyable watch; more so than lots of the crap that’s passes for entertainment these days.
Please ABC, don’t cancel V! Give it another year to prove itself. I’m sure all you’ll do is replace it with some piece of junk that you’ll cancel one year from now.
