Syfy’s special effects competition series Face Off is getting a second season.
The network announced the renewal Wednesday, looking for a little lift for its first season finale, which airs tonight. “With strikingly intense personalities and creatively stunning challenges, Face Off has ignited viewers’ imaginations, making it Syfy’s best unscripted franchise launch ever,” said Mark Stern, programming president at Syfy. “We look forward to another exciting season showcasing some of the best special effects make-up talent in the country.”
Face Off has enjoyed steady ratings across seven episodes, averaging 1.4 million viewers when you add in DVR.

SyFy where only non science fiction shows are renewed.
Ahh yes renew this and cancel SGU which brought in the same # of viewers (yeah yeah i know SGU cost more but really SyFy?!?!)

This show is awesome! I caught a rerun of the first episode right after it aired and was hooked. I’m such a nerd, but I find it fascinating.
Awesome! Great show, though next season, I’d like less behind the scenes and more focus on craft 9which is what I say about Top Chef and Project Runway constantly – who cares about what happens that the house?).
definitely not in the ranks of the best reality competition series (the drama felt forced and the challenges, while challenging, started to feel too familiar by the end), but a nice diversion of a series. i’d welcome a second season.
I agree. I hated the Megan and Jo tiff, it felt forced to me as well. Overall, I enjoyed the show.

Now renew being human
No. As a fan of the UK original, this American remake is just awful. It’s a shame that people are getting into this show without seeing the amazing original Being Human first. The UK series is filet mignon and the American version is Taco Bell.

The American version is NOT amazing. I gave the show a fair chance because I love and adore the UK series, but this one is just so stupid! The series treats its audience like they’re stupid.

I watched the first episode because I love McKenzie Westmore, but I just couldn’t get into it.
Can’t wait for season 2. Love this show for the creativity, talent and hard work of the contestants and the creators.
