One of the most sought-after actresses during pilot season has selected a project: Christina Applegate has picked an NBC comedy as her starring vehicle.
The untitled project from Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels and SNL writer Emily Spivey is a family comedy about an acerbic working mom and her stay-at-home husband and opinionated parents.
An SNL writer is working on it? I guess it’s pretty easy to tell how this is going to go.
Too bad. I was really excited about this but then read that an SNL writer was involved and realized it’s going to be grating obnoxious loud is funny kind of comedy. CA you can do better.
It kind of sounds like an Everybody Loves Raymond sort of thing.
Just with a switch in the husband & wives’ roles.
But yea Lorne Michaels? I don’t wanna label it as a fail just yet but that’s what it looks like…
No one wants to see some lame stay-at-home father show. She picked the wrong project.

I hope it succeeds because she is great in everything.
I like Christina Applegate and I am excited to see her return to TV.
