Tommy Lee is drumming up a reality show for Syfy.

The Mötley Crüe bandmate/Pamela Anderson’s ex-husband is developing Culture Shock with Tommy Lee, an investigative travel show for the network. The unscripted series stars Lee as he attempts to uncover various rituals, symbols, and other mysteries of secret societies. Lee will immerse himself in the history of each society, meet with former members and participate in their ceremonies (Call it: The Da Vinci Crüe). “This is the first show that I’ve been a part of that will blow our minds and reveal things that will explain almost all our questions,” Lee says. “I’m very excited to be partnering with Syfy on this show. It’s going to be an amazing experience for all involved.”

The one-hour program is produced by ITV Studios America, with Lee and Carl Stubner serving as executive producers. Culture Shock represents Syfy’s latest expansion into the reality space — the network has been broadening its sci-fi mandate to embrace different genres of programming in the past year, including the cooking show Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen, which premieres tomorrow night.

I’m on board with this…I always find him interesting…do it…:-)

I just read “The Dirt.” Lee is perfect for this type of show…he along with fellow bandmates are aliens from other planets who survive on alcohol, drugs and women.

  • hmm

    replace him with Charlie sheen.

This is horrible news. SyFy is a disgrace to what it was and should be. I expect it to get worse with comcast in charge.

    • scytherius

Yeah. SyFy is utter crap. Haven’t watched it in about a year. Comcast will make it even worse.

This story is bridging the gap between sci-fi and horror. I used to love Scifi and now I can’t stand syfy. Whatever emo bandwagon the executive are on hopefully will dive off a cliff soon and we’ll be back to what I like to call intelligent programming.

Syfy lost it when they started showing wrestling.

  • Delon

Is it gonna take place in outer space?

  • Benjamin

I thought Lee or the other band members would have done a syfy show or movie back in the late 90′s. It does seem pretty cool that Tommy is going to reveal secret societies in a syfy way.

Isn’t there something on the History Channel that already does this?
    I will give it a try….

Sad to see rock heroes of the past resorting to reality TV crap. As far I’m concerned any of them that do these stupid shows lose ALL rock credibility. Tommy Lee meet Steven Tyler.

  • scytherius

And the Sci-Fi aspect of it is???????????????

F*** SyFy. They are doing to science fiction what MTV did for music. I used to have SyFy on all the time. I haven’t turned it on in almost a year now.

tommy lee’s character and looks will keep many ladies watching on and perhaps many men to! Tommy and Pamala need to do a reality show, they really are perfect for eachother. Their both so dynamic together. . . gourgous people with big apparances. That would be a number 1 show.
