'CSI' celebrates another milestone. And Billy Petersen was there to cut the cake! -- PHOTO

CSI-show-celebrates

Look who reached 250! The cast and crew of CSI gathered recently to celebrate the milestone of completing 250 episodes. (Lordy!) Billy Petersen joined in on what appears to be a party in one of the exam rooms. An appropriate place to do some cutting, right?

Nice crime scene ribbon of frosting around the confectionary delight. Corner piece to anyone who can identify what Laurence Fishburne is wearing for the blessed occasion.

    Awesome! Long Live CSI! =)

  • Sonia

I don’t like it since Grissom left!

  • Graciela

CSI has not been the same since Billy Petersen came out of the series. Marg and Billy look good in the photo.

  • erika

Besides the white hair, it looks like Petersen hasn’t aged! He has hardly any wrinkles. I hope he returned for more CSI :3

    • Linda Lane

OMG, are you kidding? He looks awful, like he’s about 80 years old. YUCK….. He hasn’t been on since S/9, why is he even at this celebration? Laurence Fishburne is the STAR of CSI, and he look’s great and he’s a better actor than WP ever was or ever could be. He’s the best character ever on the show! I’m so glad LF is on instead of old Billy Petersen!!!

      • Poncho

On the show or not, he’s an exec. producer. And FYI, how Billy looks is a matter if opinion. Laurence Fishburne is an amazing actor, no questions, but Grissom will always remain the fav character for a lot of people, myself included. You are more than entitled to your opinion, but please dont tread on others while doing so

LF is not the star of the show. his acting is jerky and sluggish and he does not fill Grissom’s shoes in the slighest. he’s hardly been on this season because the fans don’t like him.

  • MCS

Fishburne is wearing a costume he lifted from the set of the Matrix. He never wants to let Morpheus go. Apparently he wears varying Morpheus attire in between takes on CSI.

    • Linda Lane

Please..Billy Petersen isn’t even on CSI anymore, why is he even at this celebration? And on the Morpheous comment, he wore black leather in that movie from 1992, and looks “HOTT” and young, in his black and red, and he’s the star of CSI now. He has every right to be part ot this party, beings he’s the LEAD of the show!

you must have just started watching the show. Billy Petersen totally made the show for 9 years. You’d know that if you were a true fan. he’s not the lead of the show. He’s barely on anymore. They are killing his character off because of fan dislike. Yes! The sooner the better.

  • Gigi

    BRING BACK GRISSOM!!!!!!!!!
The show is sooo boring now.

  • Mma

The show is not the same without Billy and…where is the rest of the team: George, Jorja, Eric, David and all lab crew? They deserve be cutting the cake more than LF.

  • sand

Agree with you Mma. LF has only been with the show about 60 episodes. How come he gets to cut the cake when Eric, George, and the others have actually been there almost all 250 episodes?

    • Robin

Eric was there, as was Robert David Hall (Doc Robbins), David Berman (SuperDave) and the actor who plays labrat Henry, but in another picture. According to CBS, George, Jorja, Paul and Wallace were not on the set that day. LF gets to cut the cake because he’s there NOW and WP left a couple years ago, remember? Get over it already.

  • Darrel

I agree the show is not the same without Grissom. Anytime you lose a character like that it is hard to wacth for a while. That being said I think it is a very good show still. Better then any of its spinoffs and better then 90% of what is on network TV.

  • Jeff

Peterson left because he wanted to, not because he was forced out. Beside that, the show never revolved around him, it was always an ensemble cast, so stop hating on the current shows.
As for the Fish, his character didn’t replace Grissom, Catherine’s in charge now. And I like the fact that Langston is a lot more kick-ass than Grissom ever was.

  • jen

Would have been better with the whole cast there. Oh well. Another reminder of past glory.

  • mes

Yes I agree, WP needs to go back to the salt and pepper look

I’m guessing the others weren’t there due to filming schedules, they should at least get to come later

  • gsrbitfan

looks like LF is wearing his PJ’s. Or maybe he’s attired to go ten rounds with Haskell in the ring lmao

  • Kelly

William Petersen left ages ago Marg Helgenberger is leaving why are they the ones cutting the cake time to move on and stop pineing for Grissom

  • carol

I miss Billy. I wish more of his movies were on tv, Young Guns gets old! When CSI first started, I remember thinking WHO IS this guy. Then I started researching him & found the WPAP. Fish is good, he can keep my interest high enough to watch, but he doesnt have the same kind of sexy coyness, or just plain sexiness as Billy. I would really like to see more of him. I’ve only seen him on 1 talk show (Regis & Kelly) and they went to LA for that. I get a charge knowing he spends a lot of time in Chicago, only 700 miles from my house! I will love Billy forever!
