Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku has joined CBS’ untitled sports radio comedy pilot that stars Damon Wayans.
Penned by Bill Martin and Mike Schiff, the comedy is inspired by Colin Cowherd’s outspoken sports talk show on ESPN. The cast also includes Danny Comden.
Dushku will play the role of Casey. The actress posted this update on her Facebook page today: “It is with insanest excitement & awesomeness I get to finally fill you guys in: I’ve JUST landed a new CBS comedy pilot w/my comic idol Mr. Damon Wayans! Stay tuned, there is a serious happy dance occurring at the moment
“
Comic idol!
Dushku was previously attached to a TNT pilot called Bird Dog but later dropped out.

comic idol???
Ha, she’s polite, you gotta give her that.
comic idol? pretty low standards – he is the least funny Wayans. This show will suck, Cowherd is annoying know it all, constantly reveling in how great and successful he is, comes off as smarmy
My love for this girl just ended. Its a show about one of the biggest tools on the radio. Cowherd is an ignorant blowhard. I guess you’re not getting many good roles offered anymore Eliza.
Be a little fair, she’d be crazy to turn down a CBS sitcom. If it gets picked up they basically pelt you with money.
Eliza Dushku is fabulous and any show she is in will be great.
It is sad that some small individuals always try to drag down those who are better than themselves.
Um, where or not I like Eliza Dushku, she’s definitely not “better” than me. Pretty weird statement, John boy.
Really – WHAT HAVE YOU EVER ACCOMPLISHED?????????
What has she?
Several movies, TV shows, stage plays, books on CD, charity work, winning athletic competitions, travel around the world – she is so much better than you that it is pathetic for you to even argue!!!!!!!
Yep, she’s fabulous………..at picking roles on shows that end after one season.
hahaha. totally!
She has never been on a show that ended after one season, but has been on several that lasted many seasons – get your facts straight
One season? Tru Calling 2 seasons, Dollhouse 2 seasons, Buffy-6 seasons that Faith was in. Those are the three biggies.
Since its a pilot, its not a series yet right? Maybe it will not take off.
Homey the Clown and Faith from Buffy? Are you guys kidding me? How can you NOT watch this show?!
Bhm, please consider continuing to love Dushku. I know it doesn’t sound like the best pilot ever but who knows, it’l probably be canceled after 1 season like most CBS comedies.
You can’t just throw aside all the excellent work she’s done on Buffy, Angel, Tru Calling and Dollhouse, all because of one pilot.
I loved her on Buffy and Angel (didn’t see Tru), but would hardly call her work on Dollhouse excellent. Part of the problem with DH,IMO, was that she was really weak as the lead.
Couldn’t agree more.
Yeah as much as she killed it as Faith everyone knows Eliza was the weak link in Dollhouse and my gawd, that says a lot right there. But good for her to keep getting work. I’m surprised their letting Wayans back on television but as part as an ensemble he can be entertaining. As a lead, well…
I disagree. I really enjoyed Dollhouse. I think her character was supposed to be bland. She got better as time passed and Echo became more of a person instead of a doll.
Haters.
Isn’t Cowherd a white dude?
I’ll tune in just to see her in the tight and revealing clothes she will be wearing. I can fast forward through the other stuff.
You are an amazing woman . The complete package ; smart , gentle , fairly good lookin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David
If you can’t say something nice…So I won’t tell you what I think of this pilot. But I love Eliza.
i can smell the bomb from here.
I like Eliza a lot, but I think she’s a lot more suited for an action type role.
This has cancellation written all over it…
This further explains her jungle fever predilection, along with fact that she has been gettin (‘slammed dunked’) by Rick Fox for last year and a half.
If this pilot fails to get picked up, she could always join a season of Dancing With The Stars like R. Fox did.
Is this meant to be a racist comment????????
