This was a great episode, though I’m really bummed to see Jeremy go. He was a great character and the actor was brilliant in the role. I was also really interested in seeing his fiancee become the newest “Army Wife.” Totally sad about this turn of events.

It was a wonderful episode. I cried my eyes out.

    • Laurin

When Frank said thank you for loving our son… I lost it!!

      • Laurin

Oh… and when Emmaline said to watch over her sister (amanda)

  • Ada

Yes I knew it last week that it was going to be Jeremy. I’m sad to see him go. He was finally getting his life together. I’m tearing up just remembering it!

    • Laurin

Think we all knew it was going to be Jeremy, but still sad

      • Josie

Actually I thought it was going to be Gneral Holden that died becaus ethey went to his house to give the bad news.

  • Amy

This episode was gut wrenching. It was well acted by the entire cast.

  • Kaiulani

I cried the whole hour! What a great show.

    • Josie

I watched it twice and cried as if Jeremy were my son. The fact is, that so many Jeremys don’t make it home & they are not actors.

  • Eileen

I cried throughout the entire episode. The performances were amazing and authentic. It was an episode that hit close to home concerning what families are going through as a result of the wars in which we are engaged.

    • Christi

I said the same thing… very authentic every step of the way. I was telling my husband I couldn’t believe how well it was being performed. Very gut wrenching indeed.

  • Sherry

I think this episode was one of the saddest and heart wrenching shows. I cried and could not hardly stand it for the parents and it made realize (which I already knew but could not quit thinking) that this is happening everyday in real life. I could be that parent and feel their pain, I know I talking about this show like it is the real thing but it surely hit close to home.

I couldn’t stop crying. I don’t have any family in the military and this episode captured the heartache and sacrifice. Excellent job by entire cast and writers.

I have watched Army Wives since the beginning, and this has to be in the top 3 episodes they’ve ever done, I’d put it at #1. top to bottom it was heartbreaking, truthful, and painfully beautiful.

the scene where denise and frank reunited at the funeral just broke me. when he saw molly for the first time, and when he looked back at denise, like he was unsure that she was really theirs and that he could smile about it, was so touching.

I was sad to see Jeremy go, though not totally surprised. If one of the husbands had died one of the wives would have had to move off post, which would disrupt the relationship between them.

Gosh I cried the whole time, which was a problem for the cold I’m trying to get over but I don’t even care. Just a wonderful wonderful episode.

    • katie

Yeah, when I was thinking about it after finding out it was Jeremy, it made sense because Denise had her husband and her son. I should have known she would lose one of them – the others only have their husbands in the Army.

It was definitely heart wrenching and beautifully acted.

I dont know….I was really surprised it was Jeremy….I thought Chase fr sure….you know that story line had beem semi wrapped up….Pamela not an army wife any more but still in the show….and there has been so much drama with Frank and Denise from the beginning of the show….In fact besides Amanda dying….everything has happened to Frank and Denise.
Still i have a brother in the Navy and this was a hard episode to watch. THANK YOU TO THE MILITARY SOLDIERS AND SAILORS AND ALL THEIR FAMILIES WHO SACRIFICE MORE THAN WE WILL EVER KNOW

      • carolinagirl

I really thought it was going to be Chase all along and was totally blown away when it was Jeremy. I had heard that Brigid Brannagh was getting her own show but after she turned down the job in Atlanta I thought maybe that had been shelved. But then when I knew someone was going to die I thought “aha!” and just knew it had to be Chase. The show did a terrific job of keeping the information secret. But I have not cried so much in a long time and this episode really brought home the tragic reality that military families go through every day. Such a realistic and heart rending episode.

      • bre

I totally taught it was going to be Chase too. I cried the whole episode I was not expecting this at all.

      • Sharon

I love army wives but this last show was all tears it also made you realize what the family’s of our soldiers have to go through

  • Joe H

As a 50 year old guy watching it with my wife, we were totally sad to see any character lost. The show really did not give any clues who the fallen soldier would be. Good job – great show!

  • Col Ted

Well done- Great reality on Emotion of the subject. I love this Show!!!

  • Eric

BEST SHOW ON TV…..classy and makes me love our troops so MUCH MORE.

  • Joe H

Actually, if they had the red head’s ex husband die, that would have opened the door for Jeremy’s wife to be a new character with no real changes.

    • Barbara S

I totally agree that it should have been Chase so that Jeremy and his fiance could have continued on the show and there would have been a new Army wife. I also have been watching since the beginning and have never missed an episode. It ranks at the top of the best episode.

      • Samie

HAS ANYONE THOUGHT PERHAPS HE OPTED TO LEAVE THE SHOW? MAYBE HE WASN’T WRITTEN OFF MAYBE HE CHOSE TO GO? PEOPLE, I THINK IT’S HORRIBLE TO SAY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THIS ONE OR THAT ONE, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO SHOW MILITARY REALITY AND WHEN AT WAR THE SOLDIERS CANT SAY ” OK SHOOT JOE INSTEAD OF MIKE HE IS SINGLE” C’MON SERIOUSLY I THINK THE SHOW REALLY SHOWED THE HARSH REALITY OF BEING IN THE MILITARY , MY EX IS IN THE AIRFORCE AND ALTHOUGH WE ARE NO LONGER MARRIED WE ARE STILL FRIENDS AND IT COULD VERY WELL BE HIM ONE DAY SO PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND STOP WITH THE ” IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHASE” CRAP

    • Laurin

Plus, Chase could have dies b/c “Red” IS living off base….. they’re divorced

      • Samie

HER NAME IS PAMELA NOT RED AND THEY ARE REUNITING

  • Emily

Love this show, thought it was a great ep but like many I was sad to see that it was Jeremy. But seriously, why does something happen to almost every single one of the “children” of the main cast? I think it would make more of an impact if the death were one of the main husbands.

    • Samie

Emily, when at war no one has a choice , they are trying to show reality and how this affects so many lives, and this is really angering me because on the AW website MILITARY MEMBERS THEMSELVES have all THANKED the writers for showing the harsh reality, unless you know someone in the military or walk a mile in a spouses shoes you can’t possibly know the heartache and fear we go through not knowing if a loved one will be home

      • Sofia

Chill, Samie. Questioning cast decisions on a TELEVISION SHOW has nothing to do with the actual military and the lives of the men and women serving. The decision to kill off Jeremy was a choice – a choice – by the writers (or the actor) and isn’t comparable to the realities of war. So buzz off getting bent out of shape when people question the writers. They aren’t insulting the military. Learn to separate your reality from fiction.

      • D

I appreciate you loyalty and strong feelings about the military, however it is just a show. Yes they do a great job at it but it is not reality. Everyone has a right to their opinion as do you but there is never a need to shove it down someone’s throat.

  • beachgirl

Oh gosh, I cried and was just blown away. It was so very real and the actors did an Emmy winning job this time! I love Army wives.

    • Darlene

I cried the whole hour. Still not over it and have been bummed out all day. I guessed it would be Jeremy, but that’s so sad. I was looking forward to him getting married.

      • Cooki

        Love Army Wives. Wonderful actors
        and great entertainment. Heartwrenching.
