Nancy Travis has bagged the female lead role in ABC’s comedy pilot that stars Tim Allen in his potential return to primetime TV (in other words: The surest bet of any sitcom pilot competing for a fall series pickup).
She’ll play Vanessa, Tim’s “smart and loving wife who doesn’t miss much.”
The untitled project from 20th Century Fox stars Allen as traditional manly man in a progressive world. Travis is a sitcom vet with several titles under her belt, including Becker and The Bill Engvall Show, as well as guest spots on ABC shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives.
Tim Allen is a bloated unfunny pig.

Maybe not lame, but the joke wore pretty thin after a couple of seasons.
It is going to be great to see Tim Allen back on TV again. He did establish himself a “home” persa with Disney years ago when Home Improvement came and with the tremendous success of his Santa Claus films and Toy Story franchise. Can not wait to see him again and I love Nancy Travis as his wife. Maybe one of those episodes will bring in Patricia Richardson as a potential guest star. Good luck Tim.

Yes! I was wondering if anyone else remembered that show. She is awesome. Although I do not care for Tim Allen, I would watch for her.

Nancy Travis is great! She and Tim Allen seem like a natural fit. I think this show will be really funny and entertaining.
Man, Nancy Travis looks like she hit the wall in that photo. I remember how hot she was back in the day. What a sad day.

People age I think she looked pretty good on DH…she had quite the movie career.
There hasn’t been alot of coverage of all the pilots that are being made this year instead of all the coverage of the shows that were most likely not going to see what about some more coverage of shows that are sure things
Check out Married to the Mob. Nancy Travis was very, very hot while in a small part early in the film.
