Many of the Dancing with the Stars’ fans stuck around to see Body of Proof, the new Dana Delany drama that has her playing an icy medical examiner. The series earned an admirable 3.0 rating/8 share in the demo and 13.8 million viewers – enough for it to beat The Good Wife on CBS and Parenthood on NBC, according to early results.
Speaking of the Julianna Margulies drama, the Braverman clan seems to be catching up to her: Wife and Parenthood both earned a 1.9/5 in the demo, which was a series low for the CBS series. Wife averaged an 9.9 million while Parenthood lured 4.7 million (that’s all?).
After airing a special dubbed Dancing With The Stars: The Story So Far (?), the DWTS results show earned a 4.2/11 and 18.8 million viewers — enough to help ABC win the night in the demo (3.3/9) and total folks (15.1 million). CBS was second with a 3.1/8 and 14.4 million, with originals of NCIS (3.8/11, 18.2 million) and NCIS: LA (3.5/9, 15.2 million). Fox aired repeats of Glee and Raising Hope, followed by an original of Traffic Light (1.1/3, 2.6 million).
The CW aired repeats of One Tree Hill and Hellcats.

Well I guess all those who said Body of Proof would bomb and should be put in a different time slot were wrong. I’m not surprised it did well since its lead-in is a big ratings hit and largely watched by the older demographics who tend to favor procedurals.
I liked Body of Proof. Nice to see something this time of year that isn’t a rerun.
I didn’t miss it! I watched Parenthood! It never fails to be great.
I really wanted to like body of proof. The acting sucked so badly. I just couldn’t get into it. oh well
How nice. I watched it, and it was ok, but not great. I hope this doesn’t mean that Detroit 187 is all, but totally dead & buried because Proof did well. I certainly didn’t like it near as much as that show. It was definitely too contrived.
The Good Wife is one of the best drama on TV but the rating is slipping ? Shame.

Yes but how many people will be turning in next week. This show just got the upper hand because of dancing with the stars. Will see what happens!
I watched BoP, and just didn’t like it. The senario has been done.The acting was wooden, the script formulatic … smart ME and those who idolize her, gruff cop, by the books boss …. hello Crossing Jordan. It didn’t catch my attention . I’ll try again, but if not the second time, I’m gone.
Body of Proof was nothing new. Not even a good “House” wannabe.
I never get over laughing about how they show women going to a job like that wearing 6″ heels. LOL
Also, they’re running around everywhere looking for the killer….and the autopsy isn’t even done?! Yeah, thats good police work! NOT!
Parenthood is so brilliant and realistic. Every character is a star. I DVR Good Wife but sometimes find it more confusing than Lost with all the sub-plots and even though Julianna Marguiles is a great actress her expression seldom changes. I always choose Parenthood first.
