Been a bit slow lately aside from the Mad Men drama. So in honor of April Fools Day, below is our prayer to the TV gods: A dirty dozen of online traffic-boosting headlines we’d like to see:
– Lost prequel announced: Peninsula-set reboot to explain everything
– NBC reveals shocking new The Office boss: Dave Chappelle!
– Fox: “We screwed up, let’s bring back Firefly“
– The Glee and Grey’s Anatomy crossover wedding: Yes, it’s happening!
– Farscape resumes production
– Mitch Hurwitz: “There is no Arrested Development movie, we’ve totally been f—ing with you”
– Axe body spray blamed in tragic Jersey Shore nightclub fire: Will cast appear on TV again?
– Surprise! Syfy changes name back to Sci Fi Channel
– Nielsen rocked by payola scandal: Fringe and Chuck are actually TV’s most-watched shows
– HBO, Showtime abandon pay TV model: All shows now free
– Josh Holloway cast as Han Solo in Star Wars live-action TV series
– Charlie Sheen fired from Two and a Half Men after declaring himself a Vatican Assassin Warlock in crazy radio rants— oh, wait…

If only the Lost and Firefly ones were true…
Yes. And the Fringe being highest rated.
And please change Sci Fi back.
agreed. We can only hope…
no on the Lost one. doesn’t need a sequel or a prequel
but I would take the Josh/Han Solo one. Especially if it was based off Hurley’s script
Kudos to the people that remember this hurley line, dudes.
What Lost needs is a remake of season 6. Yuck.
I totally agree. Josh as Han Solo would he awesome. And a prequel is unnecessary.
Chuck hasn’t been funny in ages.
I think Chuck hasn’t been funny since Chuck was bad at spying.
I think I would have a heart attack if the Firefly and Fringe ones happened. A happy heart attack?
I wish, wish, wish and pray that “Farscape resumes production” was real. And I don’t give a frell what SyFy calls itself. They’re showing wrestling and a cooking show!!!
Note to self: do not believe any headlines about the Arrested Development movie tomorrow…
Don’t worry. I heard from reliable source, who heard from cast member hat it is happening. And that is not an April Fools.
I follow the rumors, and have faith it’s happening, but it’s one of those things that’s ebbed and flowed so much in online rumors that it’ll be an easy mark for an April Fools prank on us!
…or the day after tomorrow…or EVER really, at least until you’re sitting in the movie theatre, the previews end and the ukelele theme signifies the start of the actual movie.
(I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m a little cynical about the prospects of an AD movie by now.)
I swear I would hurt someone if that headline was true.
Nothing is a true franchise unless it has a spin-off right? I would love another LOST show. Maybe one that focused solely on the war between Dharma and The Others
That could actually be really interesting…, but it’ll never happen.
Haha. This kinda made my day. I loved the Lost one and The Office one, but my favorite was definitely Arrested Development’s. It would almost be worth not having the movie if he did that… almost.
Well, you had me until Josh Holloway as Han Solo…
I’ll settle for the Firefly, Farscape, and SciFi ones. Oh, and Chuck.
That is the only one that might fool folks. Because it is actually plausible
-Topher Grace permanently banned from appearing in media of any type!
AMEN!
What’s wrong with him?
TopherGracesucks, you are truly doing the Lord’s work. Topher Grace does not get nearly the flack and ridicule he deserves.
And Snooki
Before i go i’ve finally decided to renew Veronica Mars & Everwood, plus of course give 7th Heaven a 25th season.
LOL! The Ostroff Center on Gossip Girl i just got that. (i’m slow) But naming a nuthouse after your boss, is that REALLY a compliment?
The Chuck and Fringe one made me laugh… if only it were true.
Josh Holloway as Han Solo is the best idea ever.
Here here! I second that! I read of a Rory Gilmore crossover into the Office somewhere… That would rock!
Oh and here’s my entry:
Damon and Carlton: We were totally kidding! They HAVE been dead the or whole time
or
“Actual Final Episode of Lost Revealed on DVD on the 10th Anniversary of Lost Pilot
“The Glee and Grey’s Anatomy crossover wedding: Yes, it’s happening!”
What does it mean? I know the concept of a cross over (one or several actors from a popular show appearing in an episode of an other popular show, both being aired on the same major broadcasting, like lately with CSI /CSI:Miami/CSI:Manhattan ; NCIS/NCIS LA ; L&O:SVU/LOLA0, etc…) but here, for the Glee/Grey’s Anatomy stuff, the 1st is aired on Fox and the 2nd on ABC..
Or does it mean that to animated an “After weddingé party, some actors from Glee will act in Grey’s?
Please, could anyone explain to me what would be the others possibilities?
Thanks in advance,
A crossover wedding would be a character from one show marrying a character from another show. The fact that Glee and Grey’s are on different networks is irrelevant because this is just a joke. I don’t know if a crossover wedding has ever even been before.
I think you’re taking it too seriously.
You forgot the one about Erica Durance being cast as Lois Lane in the new Superman movie!
Boo
Oh right, and Supernatural is moving to HBO. Producers have contacted primary cast members to buff up because the initial notes from the new network are “NAKED NAKED NAKED”.
Don’t mess with me like that!!!! Way too good to be true.
If only that were true. Sigh.
OMG, I would probably freak out and die if that were to happen. HBO producers, if you’re reading this, this NEEDS to happen!
For that I would get HBO!
ABC touches Pushing Daisies and brings it back to life.
Ouch, too soon.
Ooh, if only…
I actually don’t think Lost left too many loose ends. I thought the series dealt with the major issues very nicely. The X Files, on the other hand, I would be thrilled to see a “X Files movie that actually wraps up the series, makes sense, and doesn’t suck upcoming”
