'Fringe': First look at Friday's episode 'Bloodline' -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Fringe has been giving Anna Torv an acting working out lately. After tasking the Emmy-deserving actress with channeling the spirit of Leonard Nimoy’s William Bell via FBI agent Olivia Dunham over the past couple episodes (a very credible Old Spock croak, I think), the ratings-challenged Fox series will be making her go Pregnant Fauxlivia on us again in Friday’s new episode, set within the “over there” parallel world. EW has scored the first look at a new movie-style trailer for “Bloodline” created by the network’s hard-workin’ promo department. The first half of the spot recaps the Peter/Olivia/Fauxlivia love triangle from Fauxlivia’s perspective. The second half of the spot is full of intriguing, ominous images from the episode. Looks to me like Walternate’s machinations for both Peter and his gestating grandson are about to make Fauxlivia’s life more complex – and scary — than it already is. Parse the rush of cryptic bits (like that shot of Walternate with a time stamp on it) and theorize the significance. Go!  READ FULL STORY »

Could Charlie Sheen return to 'Two and a Half Men'?

How unlikely can something be and still be within the realm of possibility?

That’s the impression we’re getting about the current reports that Charlie Sheen could get his job back on Two and a Half Men.

The story was launched by a Radar Online story and also NBC News reporter Jeff Rossen posting the following to Twitter: “Sources close to Charlie Sheen tell NBC News, CBS has offered him his job back. Discussions ongoing. Not a done deal.”

The first flag that goes up when one reads this is that it’s Warner Bros. who does the hiring and firing on Men, not CBS, though the broadcast network is hardly a silent partner. Indeed, Rossen later clarified that CBS wants Sheen back “IF Warner Bros., Chuck Lorre, and Sheen can settle [their] differences” (even all-caps don’t do that “IF” justice). The news also comes on the heels of reports that Sheen met with executives at Fox. It could be, some speculate, that Camp Sheen is engaged in a whisper campaign to try and drive up the actor’s price in the marketplace. The actor apparently met with HD Net chairman Mark Cuban today, with the executive telling Access Hollywood:  “What we do with Charlie will be interesting to see. We’re going to meet, today actually, and talk some more about what those opportunities are. You know, Charlie’s a smart guy and I don’t think he’s getting nearly as much credit as he deserves for just how much he’s manipulating the media and those around him to his benefit and I think that would make a good reality show.”

CBS and Warner Bros. had no comment the rumors. But one line of thought goes like this: READ FULL STORY »

'General Hospital': Who's to blame for Jake's death? -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

No one saw it coming. No one was prepared for this … except, maybe, a good portion of you General Hospital fans. Now the search is out for the culprit who failed to stop his (or her) car when that little bugger Jake dashed across the street. Chuckle all you want at the amount of tears shed over this “tragedy,” but ABC sure knows how to pump up the drama in daytime. (And for crying out loud, somebody keep those tables away from Luke!)

Jane Seymour on her 'Castle' guest spot: 'I've played a lot of very evil people in my time.'

Jane Seymour, noble Dr. Quinn, medicine woman. She could never harm a thing. Or could she?

You won’t be so sure during tonight’s meta-tastic episode of Castle‘s “One Life to Lose,” which follows Castle and Beckett as they solve a murder that has taken place on the set of a soap opera called Temptation Lane. Seymour plays Gloria, the suspicious mother of the victim who finds herself (in true soap fashion) among a large group of suspects entangled in the mystery.

“As far as we can tell, she really is not necessarily all we imagine her to be. There’s more to Gloria than meets the eye,” she says. And that “more” is nothing good, but for Seymour, who will next be seen in the indie flick Lake Effect, that’s the best part.

“People always think that because of Dr. Quinn that I just play nice family stuff. But the truth of the matter is that East of Eden was a very successful thing for me in the past,” she says, referring to her manipulative character on the miniseries, Cathy Ames. “I’ve played a lot of very evil people in my time.” And after tonight, we’ll all be reminded that she does it rather well, too.

'William & Kate' trailer: The prince is one tall drink of wine

Categories: Cable, Television, Trailers

Oh, the perils of dating a royal! However did Kate Middleton cope with all those make-out sessions, fancy coats, and wine-enhanced bubble baths? Based on this trailer, it seems Lifetime’s upcoming William & Kate telefilm will explore that question, along with how Middleton and fiancé Prince William attempted to escape England’s eager paparazzi during their courtship. But, most of all, what viewers of William & Kate can expect is “a great love story,” according to Camilla Luddington, the actress who plays Kate. So, yes, Kate, we will be tuning into Lifetime on April 18 to watch you gaze lovingly into the eyes of your prince — or, as you call him, “just a guy”… standing in front of a girl… asking her to become subject of sure-to-be-scathing future British tabloid pieces. Ah, young love. Watch the trailer after the jump! READ FULL STORY »

If you’ve read this week’s Entertainment Weekly cover story with Nathan Fillion, you know that he and his Castle costar Stana Katic have different opinions on when Castle and Beckett should get together. She thinks sooner (Moonlighting curse be damned); he thinks later. We asked them to plead their cases, then got show creator Andrew Marlowe to weigh in (his opinion is, after all, the one that really counts). Read their arguments below. We’re taking it to a vote.  READ FULL STORY »

Charlie Sheen takes a meeting at Fox. Winning?

Categories: Television
charlie-sheen-video

Since it won’t happen with Two and a Men, Charlie Sheen may be looking for another way to return to primetime: A source confirmed that the actor met with a Fox Sports executive — as well as suits from the Fox network — even though it doesn’t sound like any ideas were exchanged.

TMZ reported that Sheen sat down with Fox Sports executive David Hill last Thursday, as well as Fox Networks Group Chairman Peter Rice and head of reality Mike Darnell. Apparently, the meeting lasted for about an hour. Why Fox? Well, Sheen’s early rants that led to his firing occurred on the The Dan Patrick Show, which airs on Fox Radio and is simulcast on Fox Sports Net.

Sheen might just be fishing for the best opportunity. Billionaire Mark Cuban, who owns HDNet, also said he had talks with Sheen about bringing the actor’s “winning” act to his cable network. In an interview with ESPN, Cuban, who also owns the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, said, “I reached out and we’ve had some conversations, and we’re going to work on doing some things.”

Tommy Lee is drumming up a reality show for Syfy.

The Mötley Crüe bandmate/Pamela Anderson’s ex-husband is developing Culture Shock with Tommy Lee, an investigative travel show for the network. The unscripted series stars Lee as he attempts to uncover various rituals, symbols, and other mysteries of secret societies. Lee will immerse himself in the history of each society, meet with former members and participate in their ceremonies (Call it: The Da Vinci Crüe). “This is the first show that I’ve been a part of that will blow our minds and reveal things that will explain almost all our questions,” Lee says. “I’m very excited to be partnering with Syfy on this show. It’s going to be an amazing experience for all involved.”

The one-hour program is produced by ITV Studios America, with Lee and Carl Stubner serving as executive producers. Culture Shock represents Syfy’s latest expansion into the reality space — the network has been broadening its sci-fi mandate to embrace different genres of programming in the past year, including the cooking show Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen, which premieres tomorrow night.

NBC announced the return of America’s Got Talent and The Marriage Ref, which will make up the Peacock’s summer slate that begins in May. Talent bows on May 31, followed by the new alternative series It’s Worth What? and the second season debut of Ref on June 26.

The network will also continue with fresh episodes of The Voice through June as well as the new reality shows Still Standing (working title) and Love in the Wild. Premiere dates for both are still pending. Original episodes of Law & Order: Los Angeles will also air over the dog days, as will the broadcast network premiere of the final season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent starting May 30. Also look for the last season of Friday Night Lights on Fridays.

“We want to make it clear that NBC considers the summer as an important part of its overall season and will continue to offer a varied lineup of original programs,” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment, in a statement.  “Our viewers will have plenty of options with new series such as It’s Worth What? and Love in the Wild as well as continuing shows such as The Voice plus returning favorites like America’s Got Talent.  We even have scripted series such as Friday Night Lights, and episodes of two separate Law and Order franchises as we build momentum toward the fall season.”

It’s Worth What? will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and is a game show that “taps into America’s love for cost and value, such as the hidden gems found in one’s attic.” Still Standing is a game show based on hit Israeli series of the same name, which offers contestants the chance to win by out-guessing 10 opponents in 10 fast-paced trivia battles.
