Tyra Banks talks her latest website and previews her new web series -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Tyra Banks has gone from super model to super mogul in a short time. Now, Banks is moving into the world of online fashion with her new website, typeF.com, launching on March 15th. “typeF.com to me is a revolutionary type of fashion site,” Banks tells EW. “It’s all about personalization, whereas a lot of sites and fashion magazines tend to tell you, ‘Okay this is the trend. You need to wear it and if you don’t wear it like this, it’s not good.’ Type F does two things: one is we show you the trends but we show you how to wear it or use it in relation to your body type. It’s all about personalization, personalization, personalization!” Visitors enter all their body details, from the shape of their eyes to the length of their hair, and then are given tips and info that directly relates to their body type. Banks also will be appearing in a weekly web series, Fa-Fa-Fa-Fashion, alongside her America’s Next Top Model judge — and Vogue editor — Andre Leon Talley. EW talked to Banks about the new site, her new YA book series, and plans for future ANTM cycles. Plus, we have an exclusive sneak peak of the first Fa-Fa-Fa-Fashion installment.  READ FULL STORY »

'The Office': Director Paul Feig on Steve Carell's 'very emotional' last episode

Steve Carell’s final bow on The Office won’t air until a little more than a month from now, but the episode’s director, Paul Feig, who just wrapped filming last week, is already warning that the audience should prepare for an emotionally-charged episode.

“We were exhausted by the end of that week. You thought you’d stop being sad or stop being emotional, but every scene was, ‘Oh, we just did the last conference room’ or ‘Oh, we just did the last talking head.’ So it was pretty wild,” he told EW at PaleyFest’s salute to Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared Saturday night.

Even the show’s veteran cast had trouble controlling themselves as they bid farewell to their fearless leader. “Everybody was kind of in a state of suspended animation. Everyone kinda knew and [was] pretending it wasn’t happening, but then we were rehearsing a scene with the accounting department, and all of a sudden Angela Kinsey just sort of burst into tears. She was like, ‘This is my last scene with you.’ And we all kind of immediately snapped out of it, pretended it didn’t happen, and we went back and started doing it,” he said. “But they had a great send off for him at the end. It was very emotional.”

The episode airs April 28.

'Fringe' returns steady; 'Defenders' finale airs

After staying off the air for a week, Fox’s cult favorite bubble show Fringe returned Friday night to match its previous original rating.

Fringe was seen by 3.8 million viewers and had a 1.5 preliminary adults 18-49 rating.

Over on CBS, Defenders (9 million, 1.5) finished out its run steady with last week, and gives CBS a tough call — a 1.5 might get a Friday drama renewed on Fox, which has long struggled to program the evening, but this is below the line for what CBS is normally willing to accept on a night it generally wins. (Then again, that line is always moving, isn’t it?) Blue Bloods (11.8 million, 1.9), however, should have no trouble coming back, along with lead-in CSI: NY (11 million, 2.0) — both won their hours. But Defenders was topped by Fox’s Kitchen Nightmares (4.1 million, 1.7) at 8 p.m. Repeats and news magazines dominated the other broadcast nets.

If you want to celebrate your child’s birthday, by all means, celebrate away. Parties are fun! But if you’re planning to spend a huge chunk of change for said celebration (or in the case of the final episode of Outrageous Kid Parties, more than my four-year college education!) please let TLC film it. We’re leaning against the notion of spending an exorbitant amount of money for a party. And yet we cannot look away while these parents rack up a nearly $30,000 bill for a circus party! Of course, for $30,000, we expect nothing short of a full circus.  READ FULL STORY »

Suburgatory has been dubbed a satirical look at life in the suburbs that centers on a New York City woman who moves to a cookie-cutter community only to realize that life there is much more frightening.

It’s from showrunner Emily Kapnek (a consulting producer on Parks & Recreation) and Warner Bros. TV.

Happy Anniversary, COPS!

Cops-show-Langley

COPS creator John Langley wasn’t the first person to bring cinema vérité to network TV when his gritty crime series debuted on March 11, 1989, but he was the first to popularize it. Sure, he has his fallback line now — “People say I’m the father of reality TV; I refuse to take credit for some of the bastards that followed” — but he’s happy with his legacy. In its 23rd season, COPS is still averaging 5.1 million viewers on Saturday night. For all the copycat ride-along shows that have followed, and all the cheesy competition series that mutated in the reality TV boom, there have also been shows for which he’d like to think he paved the way. Reno 911! is the first one that comes to his mind. (Stars Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon were on hand when Langley got his star on the Hollywood walk of Fame last month.) But also something like Deadliest Catch, the reigning champ of the dangerous job sub genre.

Even after all these years, Langley thinks some people who only know the theme song are harboring misconceptions about the series: READ FULL STORY »

He’s spent some time in Seattle Grace on Grey’s Anatomy, and he’s walked the streets of Cougar Town, now Scott Foley has been cast in medical drama pilot The Doctor.

Christine Lahti is the star of the show, playing mom who reconnects with her grown-up kids when she joins the family’s medical practice. Lahti’s fellow Law & Order: SVU veteran Michael Boatman is also on board. Foley will play Lahti’s character’s son, a talented surgeon who may not be the perfect man Emily thought she’d raised. Also just cast: Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks, Showgirls), who will play a partner in the family practice.

But man, that title. If this show is a hit, will CBS order The Cop and The Lawyer next?

But of course it is!

TLC has ordered Charlie Sheen: On the Brink, an hour-long documentary about the unraveling of Charlie Sheen’s career and public image. The special will include news footage and original interviews, tracing the actor’s story from his childhood all the way to… well, whatever madcap stuff is happening in Sheen’s world right before the program airs (if the program were on VH1, it might be called Behind the Winning). The special includes reporter Jeff Rossen’s exclusive details about Sheen’s life and Mackenzie Phillips discussing life as a celebrity on drugs and recovery.

The special is produced in association with NBC News and airs on TLC on March 20 at 10 p.m.

NBC stands behind 'Still Standing'

NBC is backing another reality series for their line-up: The network announced it has picked up Still Standing, a trivia game allowing contestants to out-guess 10 challengers in 10 different rounds. The series is based on an Israeli show, also called Still Standing. “This game show has proven its popularity overseas with its breakneck pace, physical humor and intense face-offs,” NBC’s Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming Paul Telegdy said in a release. “U.S. audiences will surely enjoy its swift and wit-filled antics.”

Here’s how the game works: Two contestants stand behind a two different coins whose value — which can amount to anything between $1 and $50,000 — is hidden. The players then answer questions until one loses… and is dropped down a trapdoor in the studio floor. But will you drop in on the show when it hits the small screen?

Charlie Sheen's 'trailer' driven off Warner Bros. lot -- PHOTOS

Charlie Sheen’s “trailer” has left the Warner Bros. lot, where it was parked for years beside the Two and a Half Men stage.

The vehicle is a bus that Sheen converted into a “total hang-out pad,” and it nested beside Stage 26 for the actor’s use during breaks while shooting Men. It was going to be towed, but Sheen sent a repairman to fix it up so it could be driven home on March 10 with dignity.

Still, having your trailer driven off the lot is the celebrity version of packing up your desk and carrying the box out the door. Here are some exclusive pics. It’s the end of an era, the Sheenpocalypse Now version of the last helicopter leaving Saigon. Winning? READ FULL STORY »
