the best mini series since roots
I’m old enough to remember JFK, RFK, Jackie & Ethel and I am amazed at the superb acting portrayals achieved by the leads in this fine mini-series. There was not much covered that I found new, but I still found myself glued to the tube because of the pace and the use of flashbacks. As cliched as it may sound, there ws never a dull moment. I hope the series garners many awards — most especially for Greg Kinnear.
I thought Marilyn Monroe was to sing “Happy Birthday” to the president. They must have cut it. Why?
Too bad they cleaned it up so the Kennedy’s didn’t look too bad. I remember their time in Washington well and it was much trashier than this show. Kinnear should looked alot like Jack that’s for sure!
Love the Kennedy’s always will. Joe, Rose and Bobby great acting and casting. Jack had a great sense of humor, didn’t see that enough but captured the rest well. Katie tried way too hard, you either have grace or you don’t. Otherwise, I loved it.
I just finished watching the 7th of 8 episodes of “The Kennedys” on NetFlix streaming…….it’s really good!
