Christina Ricci does 'CSI' -- not! Here's the real story.

Christina Ricci doing CSI!

Sounds too good to be true, right?

That’s because it is. Despite a breathless internet report that says The Addams Family star will appear in the penultimate episode, it turns out the CBS crime drama never approached Ricci about playing a young woman who helps the Las Vegas team with the Nate Haskell investigation.

But the role does exist — and it will be played by Elisabeth Harnois (Miami Medical, Dirt). She’ll debut in the May 5 episode dubbed “Cello and Goodbye” and will play the estranged daughter of Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann). Her character works for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Harnois is expected to return in the fall for more episodes. But sadly, not with Ricci.

I liked Elisabeth in Miami Medical; looking forward to her role in CSI.

I’m not dissin’ Lynette Rice or Ricci for that matter. But matter-of-factly* speaking, what is equally sad* (F.O.S.) turns out to be the fact that she’s been referred to as “The Addams Family” star. . .

Anyway, thanks to Lynette Rice for the up, and good luck to Ricci.

I hadn’t heard anything about Ricci being on CSI. As much as I love little Wednesday Adams, I don’t think I’d want her on CSI, anyway.

I first noticed Elizabeth Harnois on One Tree Hill and then in Ten Inch Sub. She’s really cute and for a gritty show like CSI, they could use a dose of cuteness.

    * That’s supposed to be Ten Inch Hero, I don’t know why I wrote ‘Sub’…

I still remember Elizabeth from Adventures in Wonderland way back in the nineties.

I remember Elizabeth from the episode Magic Hour of Charmed.

Point Pleasant! I loved her on that show and have made an effort to follow her career since. Nice to see her booking a high profile gig like this.
