Pawn Stars has been a ratings phenomenon for History and the network hopes to replicate its success with its upcoming spinoff American Restoration, which focuses on Rick Dale and his team of junk-to-retrobling experts. Show debuts April 15 at 10 p.m., here’s a spark-filled first look at the cast:

Um — I don’t mean to be a snot or anything, but this show debuted last October. The April 15th episode is just a continuation of the 1st season.
There were 4 episodes in oct/nov ’10. Did history even promote it? It looked brand new to me too from the commercials.
I believe they did, because my son and I watched it then and wondered what happened to it. Now I see the commercials for it again. Glad to see it coming back.
What does this show have to do with history anyway?
Do your research. It has everything to do with history. People bring old crap into this business to get it restored – background is given about when the items were made and how – Rick Dale researches the item’s current value, rebuilds it to make it look like it did 50 years ago+, and gives it back to them.

I like this show better than Pawn Stars. The Pawn Stars guys are getting more pompous and thieving every episode.

I thought the show back in Oct was boring.
My husband and I both agree. 30 minutes seemed like it was 2 hours to watch.
i was wondering if the restoration guy and the pawn star guys had some kind of falling out. You never see Rick bring any thing over to Rick dale to get restored anymore. i used to love to see them buy something crummy and wonder how it would turn out at the end. when i watched the actual restoration show, I didn’t find it as interesting.
They try to make TV stars out of these poor saps. The promo’s are hilarious for Restoration. As for Pawn Stars, I can’t stomach Chumlee any longer and that laughing fool Rick is on my nerves.
I am so excited to see a non-Idol topic!!! I like Pawn Stars but the guys are getting a little too big for their oversized jeans. And I always had a feeling the Rick at Pawn Stars was getting screwed by his pal, Rick, on restorations. Where there’s smoke…
