The first season finale of Syfy’s Being Human rose 17 percent to deliver 1.7 million viewers (1 million adults 18-49). That makes Being Human the network’s best winter series since Battlestar Galactica in 2005.
While over on Showtime, The Borgias grip on Sunday nights loosened a bit for the Showtime drama’s second episode. The historical series starring Jeremy Irons dropped 33 percent, delivering 1 million viewers across two epiosdes (700,000 for the premiere, 300,000 for the first encore). Last week’s premiere totaled 1.5 million across two airings.
Showtime points out its drop is in line with other Showtime freshman shows during their second weeks — Dexter and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire both dropped 31 percent.

Winter is coming.
Don’t anger the dragon.
Lol so true. Thank god I have dvr, because I’m actually digging The Borgias.
So glad that Being Human is doing well. It took a couple of episodes, but I really found myself liking it.
I agree. I kept saying, going to give it another week and see how it goes. I never thought wow this is stupid, but i thought i dont know if this is good enough. But yeah by like the 3rd or 4th episode I was hooked! Im soo glad its doing good!
I agree. Normally shows like that don’t interest me, but I really like Sally.
Yes, Sally is the glue. When I saw her door, I gulped as I couldn’t imagine the series without her. I really like all the primary characters. I explain the series as a class in Sociology.
Love Being Human! The season finale was great. So glad it got renewed for a second season.
Missed a couple of episodes of “Being Human”….so glad I have On Demand. Great show and greater finale!
still happily boycotting syfy shows, rip caprica my heart still bleeds for u!!!
winter is coming, the wall is before us!!! in the preview the wall is quite the sight
what happened to Caprica? did it not get renewed? have been waiting thinking is it taking long or am impatient, dang i hope not
Love both series and hope The Borgias will get a 2nd season because I’m already addicted to Mr. Arnaud’s charismatic Cesare.
Same here!!
If your idea of a good series finale is the final episode of Battlestar, then I can only imagine how bad this episode is.
The Borgias; Hmm, lets see, the boring script, the disgusting hypocritical religious historical subject matter that leaves you nauseous at the realization that it’s pretty accurate, and that people still think these people holy- yeah, what’s not to love? Irons needed more villainy in his character- The family that inspired the Godfather? Where? They seem to be closer to the Kardashians that the Corleones, and thats a REAL family! nah, this one’s a miss. the easily entertained who would watch anything will be dazzled by the sets and the costumes, and it may even succeed bec most people are sheep and don’t take too good a look at their entertainment- but as far as comparing this to any kind of good television- I say don’t embarrass yourselves. Can the show be saved? Of course- bring in the writers of any really compelling show like Dexter or even the Sopranos- then I’d naturally sing its praises. Otherwise, it’s filler.
I’m a huge fan of both the American and British versions of Being Human. Great shows!
I watch both the BEING HUMAN series, the SYFY and the BBC version. I like the main actors on the SYFY better, but the story is more advanced and a bit DARKER on the BBC. Different trio with the same configuration. WELL DONE!
Game of Thrones is going to be a Death Star for the Borgias
ages 18 to 49? but I’m 68.
Being Human was an amazing SyFy series. I was happy to learn that it is up for a second season and will be waiting with great anticipation to see what lies ahead for the threesome. I have not seen the BBC version so I do not have anything to judge the SyFy version with.
I am with you Sharon. I am 55 and I have really enjoyed “Being Human”. I actually hated when I had to miss a couple of shows, because my cable company redirected their digital channels.
Loved the show Being Human -recorded the whole season on DVR.. and then trasfered it to DVD
season finale was great
