Charlie Sheen says he's been in talks to return to 'Two and a Half Men'

Could Charlie Sheen return to Two and a Half Men this fall?

As unlikely as a reconciliation may seem after all the viscous insults he’s hurled against his former employer Warner Bros. and Men showrunner Chuck Lorre — not to mention his $100 million lawsuit against both parties — the Warlock claims he’s been in talks to get his old job back.

“There’s been discussions, but I was asked not to divulge anything,” he told Boston radio station WBZ-FM on Tuesday night. “Had they told me at the end of season 8 that that behavior wasn’t going to be cool, I would have adjusted it.”

Sheen also suggested he’s not receiving money for his back-end participation on the hit show. “I’m supposed to [be getting paid], but that’s — what’s the term? — being withheld,” Sheen said.

The actor’s exodus from primetime production likewise hasn’t helped CBS. Freshman hit Mike & Molly was posting strong ratings after original episodes of Two and a Half Men earlier this season, but fell to a series low Monday night after CBS tried out the show in the Men slot. Last month there were unconfirmed reports that CBS chief Les Moonves wanted Sheen back if the actor could work out his issues with Warner Bros. and Lorre.

Meanwhile Sheen returned to the Radio City Music Hall stage on Sunday night after Friday’s epic bombing and, well, at least he wasn’t booed. “Friday night got a little hijacked, because I let people get into my magic f—in’ brain,” he reportedly said.

For the love of all that is holy, please let the cast and crew move on to bigger and better things; and let Charlie Sheen wake up and smell the coffee and get some much needed help from qualified professionals.

    • Lala

      This.

      • Will

“Had they told me at the end of season 8 that that behavior wasn’t going to be cool, I would have adjusted it.”

You are an adult Charlie. You really need to be told what is and is not cool? Grow up.

      • Ian

For the love of all that is holy, will people stop saying “This” like it’s the smartest thing ever. It really just shows a complete lack of a coherent thought. It’s also very 3 weeks ago, just like Sheen’s antics are.

      • @ian

“This” is as offensive as “Ditto”, which means it’s not offensive at all. Shows complete agreement without being repetitive or verbose, always a good thing.

      • JJ

        @ Will: that.

      • Trudie

        @will – my thoughts exactly.

      • Mike

        idiot.

      • Ian

I didn’t say it was offensive. I said it was dumb and pointless. As is “Ditto”. You know what else shows complete agreement without being repetitive or verbose? Saying “I agree”, and it manages to convey agreement without making the person sound like they’re trying to hard to be internet-cool.

      • Rock Golf

        The other.

      • B

        That.

      • Pillow Pants

        @Ian

        This

      • DVS1

        Word scramble for “This:”

        For Star Wars fans: “Sith”

For music and baseball fans: “Hits”

        For scatological fans: “$h!+”

      • Lala

Yes Ian, “this” is pointless, unlike your rambling.

    • Charlotte

With the state of the industry the cast will not move on to bigger and better things except maybe.. and i know some of you will not like it ..Charlie Sheen. The guy is popular no matter what, he has a strong fanbase since 80′s it will not vanish like that and he has strong connections on the movie industry (very long time good friend with Sean Penn, Kiefer Sutherland, Johnny Depp ect..). Yet maybe it will be a little hardfor him but don’t think it will be better for the cast of his CBS sitcom..by the way the sitcom got the greenlight thanks to him..the haters tend to forget that..

      • Lindy

Oh please, he worked on utter junk throughout the 90′s. His career was revived when he was picked to replace the ailing Michael J. Fox in Spin City, which led to his getting “Men.”

I won’t believe he’s talking to anyone but his mirror about getting his job back until I hear it from Warner Bros.

      • Tivo

He’s lying. Just like his shows supposedly sold out in minutes. They didn’t. It’s his way of getting attention. He may be in talks to get his job back, but I doubt if anyone who can make a differnce is talking back. His live shows have proven that he’s as good as the lines written for him.

      • Sarah O

The people to blame are the people who have continued to watch this sucky show. CBS only cares about their bottom line, obviously, so they’d make a deal with the devil if they thought it would bring in the ratings. SO STOP WATCHING THE DARN SHOW, PEOPLE!

      • mark

Oh please. All those “strong connections” who have been as silent as the grave since he started imploding? Those are the folks who are going to employ him? Sorry, but you have to get insured to work in a film and nobody is going to pony up the premium necessary to secure that insurance. He cranked out two good movies 20 years ago. No film company, producer, or director is clammoring for him. If he doesn’t grovel enough to get his TV job back, the best he’s going to get some indy film shown on the festival circuit.

    • Tom

Charlie is really really WINNING NOW!!!

    • alex f

      “Viscous.” Ha.

      • MB

Spellcheck couldn’t help them with that.

      • truthsquad

        I hate viscous rumors….the worst kind really…

    • angie

He needs to be TOLD that having to shut down filming so he can go to jail / rehab /court / the hospital to have his stomach pumped isn’t appropriate employee behavior? Lordy, that just shows how completely delusional and surrounded by toadys and sycophants this guy is. He is honestly clueless. And love how honorable he is about keeping confidentiality promises. The only thing he continues to show is that he can’t be relied upon or trusted. Neither are sought after qualites in an employee.

      • mikeswife

Off the point, but I love that you used the word “sycophants”. I’ve always appreciated good vocabulary…

    • Garry

I will NOT watch “Two and a half Men” if Sheen comes back, and I hope the producers stand their ground and refuse to let that miserable, sick nutcase back on the show.

    • DVS1

Below is an unconfirmed leaked CBS cryptic message that was recently sent to Charlie Sheen:

“If you see Kay, why owe you, bee eye tea see age.”

(Best when slowly read aloud, word for word…)

    • insult dog

      Duh!
      Winning!

    • insult dog

      WINNING!!!!

  • Kate

Please no, don’t do it CBS

    • Javadude54

CBS has no say in the matter. Sheen was an employee of Warner Brothers.

      • nick

don’t be ridiculous. cbs buys the show. of course they have a say. you think warner doesn’t care what its ongoing customer and partner wants?

    • Tom

Do it. Do it now. Get to the choppa!!

      • tvfan

        That’s funny!

  • davey

These people are all morons. Money talks obviously!

    • Bette

Absolutely unbelievable. Has CBS and Warner Bros. lost their friggin’ minds.

      • Miss Talk

So…they really consider resuming production with Charlie and acting like nothing ever happened??? Wow. Only in America.

      • DT

The “negotiations” are all in Charlie’s head.

  • David

I hope if by some act of stupidity they take him back…no body watches…the media needs to stop covering him…..enough already!

    • Diane

Tons of people would watch-for the freak factor and because the show is weirdly addictive for something so repetatitve

  • ablaza

Can’t wait – love me some Team Charlie

  • Amanda

    hello, winning! What a jacka*s!

    • winning

yes amanda you sure seem like 1

      • Amanda

winning…how did you know, OMG I thought I did a good job of hiding it! Oh well, still winning!

  • anonymous

Les Moonves … You should be ASHAMED of yourself. Why ???
Is it all about the money ?
    You have no moral compass.

    • pockets

Your about to see what CBS and Warner Bros are all about then you can talk “moral compass”, then you can start to campaign the advertisers. Charlie Sheen has the mouth of a sewer rat.

  • Midori

He also says he’s a rocking warlock from Mars. Doesn’t mean he really is.

  • Loenzo

Charlie Sheen’s Mom Was Product of Rape MAYBE thats is why he has issues

    • CharlieSheenRules

Hey Lorenzo, your mom was a product of rape.

    • anne

What a cruel comment–whether you like Sheen or not, leave his family out of your mean-spirited musings.

    • Tina

      Lorenzo, that’s harsh man!

  • Just sayin’

I really hope this is not the case. Let the show die and make him learn a lesson. For once.

    • pockets

Just contact the advertisers and voice your concern, trust me they will take notice.

  • Bonita

Either move on with the show without him or end it. This loser doesn’t deserve to be invited back or the $M+ salary especially after all these escapades.

    • anonymous

Or take a ” MAJOR ” pay cut. Make Sheen grovel before CBS and the fans.

      • anonymous

But just remember, he will never change. He will always be a DIRTBAG in my book.

  • Jerri

No No No.. Do not let him go back to 2.5 men! Let him learn from his mistakes at least once in his lifetime!

  • Javadude54

I don’t think telling his live-in hookers that he wants his old job back counts as “discussions”.

    • Isembard

      LOL. Best comment, hand down!

    • dany

Don’t be stupid if CBS did not respond saying it was a lie it is because there is definitely some truth in what Sheen says. By the way Lee Moonves has just said that he is “very fond of Charlie Sheen”..

      • Javadude54

I don’t think you understand that Sheen didn’t work for CBS and that CBS doesn’t produce Two and a Half Men. Warner Brothers makes 2 1/2 men and CBS pays them a fee so they can show it on TV. Talking to anyone at CBS about getting his job back is about as relevant as him talking to his live-in hookers. I hope I made that simple enough for you to understand.

      • dany

Java…blabla whatever, who do you think you are seriously ?
Maybe i know how this industry works better than you..of course CBS have a say dumbass, and Warner Brothers will eventually have the final say to the negociations but CBS will certainly play a key role.
So i hope i made that simple enough for you to understand. If not too bad for you but i will not waste my time anymore for it, you’re not worth my time for sure.

      • hmm

well if you put it that way, CBS is the customer and WBrothers will do what their customer wants, so if charlie is talking to CBS then he is getting himself a leverage

  • Abel

He’s probably lying, but if he’s not then Cbs is stupid for bringing him back.

    • pockets

If Warner Bros and CBS take him back it will be very short lived, the show has had its day, its time to move on. Get him into some very serious long long term treatment facility. Get some teeth in his head also, the coke has eaten them, he looks very old and gross.

  • Ralph Spoilsport

    viscous?

    • claudenorth

I guess he laid them on thick and they really stuck.

    • Bette

      viscous? or ” viscious.”

      • Modesty

        That’d be ‘vicious’. Lol

      • Bette

Now that makes sense. Yes. Lol too

    • justjack

thanks… I’m glad someone else caught that too! Guess those insults really stuck. LOL

      • LOL

        Chuck Lorre has Sheenis envy!
