Fox is used to Seth MacFarlane’s animated hits causing controversy, but the network has decided that this Sunday’s hurricane-themed cross-over stunt will be seen in too poor of taste.

The network is delaying the previously announced episodes of Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show due to the recent deadly storms and tornado damage in the Southeast that have killed about 300 people.
“In light of the recent storms that have affected the nation, Fox has decided to postpone the crossover episodes that were originally scheduled to air this Sunday,” the network said in a statement.
You’d think that somebody would have realized earlier that doing cross-over promotions based on natural disasters is probably not the wisest idea. (So, no NBC, you shouldn’t have that Community-The Office-30 Rock earthquake and tsunami episode cross-over either).

I normally hate PC, but this was appropriate.
While I was looking forward to this, I am glad that they are postponing this for a while. Given the storms this week, it would have been in very poor taste to make light of a severe weather event so soon. As for being too PC, they will air them eventually, just not while the wound is too fresh. Let’s no forget what just happened to Gilbert Godfried; one tweet about the Japan quake cost him one of his longest jobs as the Aflac duck.
Giggity
Fair enough. That can air in a month or so.
Maybe winter time is more appropriate, in a month there will be another deadly storm! It’s spring, look it up
Perhaps, but hurricanes are much more common in August to October (Look it up)so that’s closer to the fall than 1 or 2 months from now.
But peace, the issue is that running a show so close to a major weather disaster is insensitive.
i feel for those who have died. but there are natural disasters everyday.
Yeah, but not in the States, and not tornadoes, which are very similar to hurricanes.
Just delaying the unfunny.
If they wait to air these episodes then won’t showing these episodes in a month just remind people what they just endured and what they’re recovering from? I think its better to just air them now and get the episodes over with
Finally, it took an act of God, but Seth MacFarlane’s shows got pulled.
This from a douche-bag that supports a rapist playing football. Way to go PghFan, your team sucks.
Wait weren’t the Steelers in the Super Bowl, how can they suck? Anyway, just because you’re offended by someone speaking the truth about your beloved hack MacFarlane, doesn’t mean you should come of looking like a loser too.
*off
Steve, you’re just mad because you couldn’t get hookers to have sex with you with a gold bar hanging out of your zipper. Arse clown.
“Finally, it took an act of God, but Seth MacFarlane’s shows got pulled.”
lol
So god sent a wave of destructive storms that killed over 200 people, just so Seth MacFarlane’s shows would get pulled. Wow! Just Wow!
I survived Katrina…. tornadoes & hurricanes have nothing to do with each other. I would love to see these episodes!
Ridiculous. Are they going to ban airing The Wizard of Oz for a few months? Yes, people are dead. Those of us still alive could use a laugh, but once again Fox has deemed itself the decider of all that is offensive. First the abortion episode, now this. Lighten up people, it’s an animated sitcom.
Didn’t anyone ever hear that laughter is the best medicine? My best friend of 20+ years lost her home and she said she wouldn’t mind seeing it….Stop being so uptight AMERICA!
Every time there’s a serial killer or murder that makes national headlines the CSI or Law & Order shows aren’t asked to pull an episode, in fact half their plots are based on extremely publicized cases. But apparently when God does it its a big deal.
Fact of the matter is PEOPLE DIE. Its unfortunate but its a fact of life and the only way nobody’s feelings will ever be hurt if shows where nobody dies, theres no car wrecks, tornados or incidents of any kind occur is all their is. Get over it.
This is ridiculous,I can’t believe they are cancelling the episodes until later. Tornadoes and Hurricanes are not the same, like the person said earlier you better not show the wizard of oz either,It’s just mind blowing how ignorant people really are. People die every day so we better not show that either.
you can’t do this to us, we want to see the crossover, when will it come back on, the premieres are still on the channels so ha ha ha
the will get aired in a year eactly
this is ridiculous… way to suck, Fox…
Wow…I am so tired of living in such a PC flipping nation….You aren’t going to make everyone happy…Should shows that have car accidents stop showing them, I am sure that someone was in a car accident recently and it might just make them think about it..Or Maybe we should stop showing Birth stories cause there might be a woman watching who had a horrible experience with child birth….Or No more food shows because someone may have food issues..No more showing people breath on shows either, it is really upsetting to see these people breath when my mom died…
